Design Intent:

As one of China's municipalities directly under the Central Government, Chongqing is an important economic center in central China. Once, the Yangtze River and the Jialing River divided Chongqing into a unique pattern of "two rivers and four banks", which gave birth to Chongqing's rich dock culture. Now, with the development of new technologies, concrete viaducts and roads have reshaped the urban texture of Chongqing, greatly increasing the transportation efficiency of the city, while also splitting the urban texture of the waterfront.

The plot is located at Niujiaotuo Subway Station, which is known as one of the most scenic subway stations in China, and it also has a huge flow of people. Contrary to the prosperity of subway stations, due to poor site accessibility and serious ecological degradation, like many waterfront spaces in Chongqing, the space under the bridge in Niujiaotuo has become a corner forgotten by the citizens. Arouse the vitality of urban gray space, and pull in the relationship between citizens and nature.

The design set up functional areas such as overlapping water area, ecological island, tidal pool, water platform, volley plank road, rest area, etc. in the waterfront area, aiming to provide local residents and tourists with a rich waterfront experience.

Design Intent:

Aiming at the problems of ecological degradation in the site fluctuation zone and soil erosion in the shoreline zone, the greening of water bank is designed. According to the distance of perennial inundation area, trees, shrubs, herbs and other plants are planted in turn to strengthen the coastline, so as to restore the site ecology, reduce land loss and improve the urban greening environment.

In the middle of the Dieshui area, Dieshui pool, wooden plank road, grassland, fishing area, etc. are set up in order to enable visitors to experience the fun of fishing, boating, lookout and so on, which is in line with the tourists' psychology of being close to nature and being in close contact with the water body. Moreover, the artificial floating islands set in the site work together with the site greening to purify the water quality and provide citizens with a clean and hygienic water playing experience.

DESIGN INTENT This site is at Dugong lake in Wuhan. This lake is at the suburb area in Wuhan, so it is polluted by the surrounding fishery pounds and fields. On the other hand, the design need to perform the ecology, education, entertainment and cultural transmission functions because of the location. So I design five knots and four kinds of the topology to meet the needs and solve the problems.

This area is called Yunmengze.

Wuhan 3.Wuhan government delineates four wedge-shaped land to prevent the expansion of the city. And this site locates at one of the wedge-shaped land.

Design Intent In the acient time, the site Dugong Lake is in the area what we called Yunmengze( 曇夢沢 ). Yunmengze is a large swamp in Hanyang plain and there are also a lot of poems and historical documents recording about it. We abstract the texture of ancient Yunmengze into these four patterns Ze( 泽） Pao（泡） Cuo( 错） Chi( 池）, and apply these patterns to the site as a landscape mean to restore the local ecology.

Design Intent Zhouping Village is located in Zigui County, Yichang City, Hubei Province, 45 kilometers away from the county seat. The whole village accounts for a large proportion of agricultural land, mainly forest land.

Its development mainly relies on the tourism economy brought about by the cultivation of citrus, tea, walnut and the location advantage of Jiuwan River rafting.

Countryside dilemma: countryside hollowing out At present, the development dilemma facing Zhouping Village is mainly the hollowing out of housing and population that has been continuously serious since the 1970s. A large number of abandoned residential buildings and unfinished buildings have destroyed the rural landscape and caused a waste of land resources. At the same time, the outflow of young and middle-aged people caused by the widening urban-rural development gap has brought about the problem of village population decline and population imbalance.

In order to promote the future development of Zhouping Village, the problem of rural vacant houses should be solved under the premise of protecting the environment, and the quality of rural life should be improved at the same time. Secondly, the industrial structure of the village should be adjusted, and agriculture and tourism should be continuously developed.

Design Intent The design uses the “injecting method" to put the plug space into the abandoned buildings for realizing the reuse of the rural vacant houses. The inserted plug space is sized according to the modulus of the old building, and different plug spaces carry different functions such as agricultural product processing, living, shopping, and public services. The design used the gradual renewal of vacant residential buildings and unfinished buildings, and inserts different functional modules into the old buildings at different stages to adjust the local industrial structure, promote industrial upgrading, and at the same time improve the local public service level and improve the living environment. In order to finally realize the solution to the hollowing out of the countryside.

Design Intent The community, Tongxingli, is evaluated as a historically outstanding community

by Wuhan government. But over time, the community's infrastructure gradually deteriorated, and the community became a gathering place for low-income people.

This project meets the needs of community 's residents and surrounding residents through the development of roof space, and introduces agriculture into the roof space to enhance the cohesion of the community.

Tongxing Lane is now a residential area in the form of collective housings. The roof space provides a semi-private space for the residents living in the same houses. The roof garden changed the connection between residents and public space. But the appearance of the new roof garden will not spoil the façade.For tourists who come to Tongxing Lane, the roof garden cannot be seen from the lane which protects the integrity of the building's façade. For residents living in the surrounding high-rise residential buildings, the roof garden allows them to enjoy the best overlooking view.

The water containing phosphorus compounds dripping from clothes during the drying process can nourish the green roof. Residents can choose their own planting boxes to participate in community farming.
