What are container castings

Page 1

What are container castings and why are they important? Sea containers are an important part of global trade. Whether buying leather goods from Australia or tennis shoes from China, they help transport goods safely by rail, road or sea. In fact, more than 20 million containers cross the ocean every day. In addition, a staggering 1,390 containers are lost at sea each year on average. In 2019, 16,000 containers were lost. Often times, an overlooked aspect of the shipping process is finding the right container corner castings that comply with ISO standards. They help hold multiple containers together to prevent them from being damaged or lost in transit. What is angle casting? Container corner castings are structural parts attached to container corners. These corner castings are used as attachment points for containers for stacking, connecting, lifting and connecting shipping containers around the world. They are mainly used to lock containers horizontally and vertically, while also connecting them to another ISO 6346 shipping container by using bridge clips and twist locks.
