ENROLLMENT DEADLINES:

• High school transcript or proof of GED • Official transcript(s) from college(s) previously attended

TRANSFERRING CREDITS Once you’ve been admitted to Calvin, you’ll work hand in hand with a transfer advisor who will evaluate your current transcripts and find out exactly how many of your existing credits will transfer.

HOW DOES IT WORK? •T he university generally accepts academic courses completed that are similar to courses found at Calvin.

• Courses completed with a minimum ‘C’ grade will be evaluated.

• An unlimited number of credits can transfer from an accredited four-year institution.

• Up to 70 credits can transfer from an accredited two-year institution.

ORIENTATION

HOUSING

Attending orientation is a key part of your transition to Calvin— it’s your introduction to academic and community life here.

You have a number of affordable on-campus living options:

• Register for classes.

• Connect with other transfer students.

• Move in to your on-campus housing (if applicable).

• Explore campus.

WHEN WILL YOU ATTEND ORIENTATION?

If you’re coming to Calvin in the fall, you’ll join Transfer orientation the week before classes start (or you can participate in a wilderness orientation trip for transfer students during the summer). If you’re transferring mid-year, Transitions, held in January, will help you make the move.

Adult learners (those with four or more years since high school) will attend Encore, a half-day program held just before the start of a new semester.

NEED-BASED AID

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov to determine your eligibility for need-based grants and student loans. If applicable, submit the Calvin Special Circumstances Form at calvin.edu/go/specialcircumstances to help us understand your financial situation or ability to pay.
