ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS
Academic scholarships are determined based on the student’s academic performance in high school. For students who apply as test optional, only GPA is used to determine an academic scholarship. Updated GPAs and test scores are accepted through March 1. These academic scholarships are guaranteed through your sophomore year at Calvin and are renewable for up to three additional undergraduate years with a cumulative Calvin GPA of 3.0.

NAMED SCHOLARSHIPS
Calvin awards named scholarships based on a variety of criteria. Admitted students can apply from December 1 to January 31 at calvin.edu/go/scholarshipsearch.
THE CALVIN PROMISE We believe that you
should be able to afford a top-ranked, Christcentered education. Students with a GPA of 3.8 or higher are guaranteed Calvin scholarships and grants of at least $21,000 per year for four years.*

COMPLETE THE FAFSA Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov to determine your eligibility for need-based grants and student loans. If applicable, submit the Calvin Special Circumstances Form at calvin.edu/go/specialcircumstances to help us understand your financial situation or ability to pay.
FEDERAL DIRECT LOANS All students who complete the FAFSA will be eligible for a Federal Direct Loan. First-year students can receive up to $5,500, which may be comprised of both a subsidized and unsubsidized loan.
