OPTIONAL AND REQUIRED TESTS
National/International examination results are required (i.e., IGCSE, WASSCE, etc.).
ACT, SAT, and CLT score submissions are optional for all international students.
Students attending schools with English language instruction: English test scores may be optional..
Students attending schools with non-English instruction:
TOEFL: 80 internet-based test
IELTS: 6.5 minimum
DUOLINGO score: 110 minimum

At Calvin, we know that there are countless grading systems around the world. We automatically convert your grades to the U.S. GPA system when you apply, so you can get the merit-based academic scholarships that you deserve.
Once earned, these scholarships are renewable for up to five years of undergraduate study as long as satisfactory academic progress is maintained. See the table below for the converted GPA required for these scholarships.

Academic scholarships are awarded at the time of admission and are based on information provided in your application.
Although Calvin awards generous financial aid to international students, families should be prepared to contribute at least $30,000 per year towards total expenses.

International students must submit all application materials by April 1 for need-based aid consideration. U.S. citizens applying for need-based aid should submit the FAFSA online starting in October.
