The restrictions have started to ease, the car has had a clean and a service, and we have started to see a few of you this year. Still combining remote with office working, there have at least been a few miles put on the car this year.

Robin April Shops were reopening, and we were able to continue our virtual reviews with you. We held 31 meaningful reviews this month, with brokers based all over the country, from Belfast to Birmingham and Durham to Dorset! It has been fantastic to be able to keep in touch and work with you throughout these times.

May The flexibility these times allow have been very useful. We have been able to hold review meetings prior to work hours this month. This has been of great benefit to some brokers, who understandably do not wish for their open business hours to be interrupted. We have also seen brokers on different days of the week, which has allowed you to mould your working week the way you want.

A Chinese Meal not leaving us Wonton…

Restaurants were back open, and we were delighted to be able to head straight back to one of our favourite Chinese restaurants in Cheshunt, excitably joined by Cheshunt Central insurance for a fine Chinese feast.

The food was exceptional, the company was tremendous, and it felt an absolute joy to be back amongst brokers once again, discussing all manner of items from the past 12-15 months.

June In June, we have been able to venture out a little bit more than in previous months. We are currently seeing people in more neutral venues; meeting for lunch, for example. It has been a very good balance this month, as we have continued to see people remotely via video and begin to meet some of you in person.

Get into the Grove We have met a few of you this month for lunch, which has been superb. We headed to a fantastic steakhouse in London with Michael Kaufman of UNA, as well as meeting locally in Southend-on-Sea and a trip to the rolling hills of the Cotswolds to meet with Wesleyan Insurance. It has been great to start to meet face-to-face once again.

We set off this month to the exquisite Grove Hotel in Chandler’s Cross, Watford, to meet with Zoe Williams & Steve Horner of Blink IS. It was wonderful to meet once again, and the venue itself was incredible, and provided a delicious three course meal in beautiful surroundings.
