THANK YOU!

A MESSAGE FROM

It is with immense gratitude that I share this annual update with you about our medical students On behalf of all of us at the School of Medicine, we are deeply grateful for the generosity of donors like you Your support opens the doors of Johns Hopkins to talented students who might not otherwise have the opportunity Your commitment allows them to focus fully on their studies, explore the areas of medicine that inspire them most, and pursue the specialties that align with their passions Your investment ensures that future physicians can thrive at Johns Hopkins and go on to make a meaningful difference in the lives of their patients and communities

In August, we were thrilled to welcome the Class of 2029 to campus for the second year of our reimagined Transition to Medical School (TTMS) program. The updated orientation was designed to make the first days of medical school more engaging and memorable, moving away from long lectures to more interactive experiences. Students explored the campus through a lively Scavenger Hunt, participated in hands-on workshops for IT setup, classroom technology, and accessing key resources like primary care and mental health support. They reflected on their purpose in medicine, explored professional and personal identity through an art-based activity, and connected with peers and mentors in their CAP molecules. Upper-year students joined as co-leaders, sharing guidance and fostering community, and the program even featured a fun outing to an Orioles game, which was enjoyed by many despite a rain delay. A new, dedicated TTMS SharePoint site helped students stay organized in the weeks leading up to the program, ensuring they could start their Hopkins journey feeling confident, supported, and excited

As we look ahead, we are inspired by the dedication and passion of our students and filled with gratitude for the role you play in their success Their journeys would not be possible without your generosity Thank you for all you make possible
