Roofing Safety Equipment for Women

Page 1

Roofing Safety Equipment for Women Women make up only about 10% of those employed in the Fox and Roofing and construction industry. As a result, the majority of products are geared toward men, leaving women with few options for personal protection equipment (PPE). It is not simply a matter of equal representation, though that is essential. PPE that does not fit properly can increase the risk of injury on the job. Larger items can snag on tools or equipment, resulting in falls. An improperly fitted harness will almost certainly result in an injury during or after a fall. Fortunately, more and more companies are developing PPE specifically for women. The following are some items that female contractors can use instead of settling for men's sizes or unisex equipment.
