Antoine Hobbs, Film producer/Director and his wonderful team of sound and cameramen who filmed on the day, have shared this lightly edited version of our program. A documentary/short film will be produced over the next months that will be part of Antoine’s PhD portfolio as well as destined for general public viewing.
The Child Survivor family members who took part in the program as well as our audience members, have all contributed to this uplifting and at times emotional tribute to Child Survivors’ Holocaust lived experience. The third-generation speakers showed us, with deep compassion, how important and meaningful their connection to the Holocaust is to them, and how grateful they are that their grandparent survived. They have accepted the role of “Keeper of the memories” with genuine pride.
