2024 Annual Fund Letter From The Rector I pray that you had a Merry Christmas and are as excited about the year ahead as I am. This year’s Annual Fund campaign is slightly different than in years past. Instead of a separate Annual Fund packet, we’re incorporating this two-sided letter into our newly updated and released Welcome brochure. The reason is simple; our funding and our mission go hand in hand. What we do at Trinity Episcopal Church and School is completely dependent upon the generosity and support of our donors like you.

Fr. Chris Rodriguez Rector

While many churches continue to struggle in the wake of the pandemic, Trinity has rebounded stronger than ever and is, in fact, bigger in terms of membership and attendance than before COVID. Our parochial school continues to grow with about 40 kids on any given Sunday, and 14 new families have joined Trinity because of our school. We will be adding a grade a year as we build up towards an 8th grade in continuation of this ministry to our community. Our Annual Fund target this year, is $1,750,000 which is a 8% increase over 2023. This increase includes additional staff for pastoral care, childcare and a new Communications Coordinator which we hope to hire in 2024 to help us get out the word about our work at Trinity Episcopal Church and School. Jesus continues to change lives for good here at Trinity, and I ask that you would please join me with your prayerful financial support as we move forward in our mission together. Yours in Christ,

Fr. Chris Rodriguez Rector, Trinity Episcopal Church and School

Looking Ahead • One of the unique features of Trinity is the seasonality of many of our parishioners. While we are truly blessed to be with one another during the Winter and Spring months, in 2024 we will be making a concerted effort to stay connected and make additional Christian content and ministry updates accessible throughout the year. • We are honored to announce new Bishop Justin Holcomb has requested that Trinity host the 2025 Diocesan Convention. You may be aware that Trinity remains one of the largest and fastest-growing parishes in the Diocese, and it will be a great privilege for us to host church representatives from across Central Florida to come and see what makes Trinity such a unique and wonderful place. • Trinity’s outreach to greater Vero Beach remains an important part of our mission. While we will continue with our local partnerships we will also be increasing our offering of Christian counseling to the community.

Rector’s Welcome

Welcome to Trinity Episcopal Church & School! Trinity Episcopal Church & School is a friendly and fast-growing parish. Our mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through traditional worship and biblical preaching in a family-focused environment. We embrace Anglican Christianity and coming together in Christ through worship, liturgical music, and common prayer. Additional Christian education, fellowship, and volunteering are great ways to deepen your faith and develop relationships with other members of Trinity Episcopal Church & School. This brochure includes some of the many opportunities for our members to grow, and I invite you to join us in any program that interests you.

Yours in Christ, Fr. Christopher M. Rodriguez Rector

Our Church Traditional Worship, Biblical Preaching and Family-Focus Sunday morning at Trinity Episcopal Church & School brings our parishioners, clergy, and choir together to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Our Sunday Eucharist is based in historical Anglican liturgy and our skilled choir leads the congregation with traditional hymns and Anglican chants. Our priests’ sermons are centered on the saving work of Jesus Christ and the story of God’s plan of redemption for His people. The purpose of our worship is to glorify God and draw near in an ever-deepening encounter with the work and person of Jesus Christ. The Church is a family, with God as our Father, uniting us as brothers and sisters in Christ. At Trinity Episcopal Church & School we are dedicated to supporting one another and caring for each other, maintaining the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Our members are from all stages and walks of life and are dedicated to the welcome of guests and new members.

Our Faith What we as Anglicans believe is best summarized by the words of the historic Nicene Creed. But our Christian faith is not just what we believe—it is a whole way of life passed down from Christ and His Apostles to the present day. We participate in the life and ongoing work of Christ in the world, being drawn further into relationship with God as, by His grace, we come to share in His likeness.

Music At Trinity Episcopal Church & School we recognize that we are called as Christians to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Music is used in our services as a way to provide praise to our Lord and lift up our music as an offering to God. Each week hymns and anthems are selected to pair with the readings, prayer, and sermon. Trinity offers a variety of ways for members of our congregation to serve the Lord through music. Our Director of Music and Choirmaster is happy to provide information about how to join our music ministry.

Parish Choir The Parish Choir is made up of a number of volunteer and professional singers, engaging in the works of renaissance composers such as William Byrd and from living composers such as Ola Gjeillo.

Children’s Choir The Children’s Choir is open to children from 2nd to 8th grade. No audition is necessary, and all children are encouraged to join. They rehearse each week and learn about the basics of music.

Supporting our Community Trinity Episcopal Church not only invests inwardly but outwardly, through several different outreach avenues. From faith-based agricultural programs in Rwanda to our local pregnancy centers, Trinity remains committed to sharing out of the abundance of gifts that God has provided for us through many of our members. While we have an annual evaluation of our current ministry partnerships, here are just a few that we have supported in prior years:

School Trinity Episcopal School seeks to provide a Biblically based, Christ-centered education to children in their most formative years. Our teachers believe that each child is unique and made in the image of God, and our quality educational curriculum promotes the spiritual, socioemotional, and intellectual growth of all children. To help all our students grow as young learners and Christians, we work to achieve in our school: • A knowledge and love of Christ rooted in the Anglican and Episcopal traditions • An engaging curriculum that allows children to learn through discovery and play • Highly qualified teachers and staff committed to loving and knowing all members of our school community

• Small class sizes • Teaching healthy habits and honorable actions • Modeling discipleship and caring for others • Cultivating a school community built on mutual respect for ourselves, each other, and our wider world

We recognize the need for a Christ-filled school that builds minds and grows disciples in Vero Beach. To that end, Trinity Episcopal School is committed to adding one grade annually until our school reaches an eighth-grade class.
