The Annual Fund TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH

LETTER FROM THE RECTOR

1

Dear Members and Friends of Trinity Episcopal Church, We can all agree that bidding farewell to 2020 will be an easy thing to do. With the combination of riots, an acrimonious Presidential Election and a worldwide pandemic, I will be glad to see 2020 in the rear-view mirror. But despite a challenging year, Jesus is always calling us forward, no matter what. And so, at Trinity Episcopal Church that is precisely what we’ve done. We never stopped live worship at Trinity Episcopal Church, even when it was restricted to less than 20 in attendance. Despite the pandemic, Trinity actually grew in membership, adding 30 new folks to our family in 2020. This is about half of our typical growth over the last eight years, but we continue to move forward in our mission to bring people to Jesus. The pandemic has also moved us towards ‘livestreaming’ our Sunday worship. This has allowed our Trinity parishioners to join us ‘live’ during quarantine. But, as you’ll see on p 8 of this brochure, we have people worshipping with us from all over the nation and overseas. Livestream started out as a mission to our own people, and has developed into a huge outreach opportunity for us. We’ve had several families join the Church who don’t even live in Florida, but join us from England, Colorado, and Tennessee just to name a few. Finally, our Trinity Episcopal Preschool continues to flourish having grown from just 9 students when we started in 2019, to an expected total of 47 by January of 2021. We all know that 2020 was a very difficult year. But, as Jesus promises, the Church will always prevail, and that not even the gates of Hell can stand against Her (Matt 16:18). Our Annual Fund goal for this year is $1,425,000. Please pray deeply about your commitment to Trinity Episcopal Church and our Mission, as our future together is completely dependent on your financial support. My prayer is that with the virus behind us, Trinity Episcopal Church will emerge even stronger than before, God being our helper.

Yours in Christ, Fr Chris Rodriguez

LOOKING AHEAD

Preschool Growth

National Reach

Established in 2019 with 26 students in its inaugural year, Trinity Episcopal Preschool has quickly become integral to both our parish and the Vero Beach community. In January 2021 we will have 47 students enrolled and we are looking forward to more growth in the year ahead.

The online presence of our sermons has expanded the reach of our ministry far beyond the Vero Beach community. Not only are seasonal members able to join us in worship while away, but those living in other parts of the country searching for a traditional worship experience have found comfort in our online offerings. Several families have joined Trinity, who don’t live in Florida and may never attend in person. Our continued dedication to improving our digital presence will further bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a national audience.

Online Enrichment Offerings As a result of the pandemic, parishioners may be prevented from joining us in person. To better serve our members, we will be presenting more of our classes with digital on-demand options. With this flexible approach to enrichment, we hope to enable all of our members with increased opportunities to delve deeper into the Word of God.

OUR LIVESTREAM AUDIENCE This map shows the national reach of our online livestream services. We had viewers tune in from 43 states, with the most in Florida.
