Albury/ Wodonga
Two cities, two states, one very special destination.
Opened in 2007, our Wodonga office is the most recent addition to the JG King Homes family.
On the border of NSW and VIC, Albury/Wodonga has great access to the Murray River and Lake Hume. The area has plenty to offer from swimming, kayaking and bike riding, to boating and water sports.
Quest Albury on Townsend is located just over the NSW border with easy access on and off the Hume Highway. Surrounding the hotel is a variety of dining options, museums and breathtaking walks along the Murray River.
Ballarat
Explore the third largest city in Victoria.
We are proud to have commenced our business in Ballarat back in 1985. Since then, Ballarat has developed into the thriving city it is today.
If you are bringing kids along, don’t miss out on a visit to Sovereign Hill where you can pan for gold, visit old school lolly shops and learn the fascinating history on the Eureka Stockade.
Venture back into town and dine at one of the many impressive eateries. Our favourites are Moon and Mountain (Modern Asian) and Pancho (Mexican). A short walk from Lake Wendouree, Quest Ballarat will ensure you have a relaxed and comfortable stay.
Bendigo
A vibrant regional city jam-packed with great food and drink.
We opened our second office in 1986 in Bendigo. Since then, the team has had plenty of time to discover the best things to do while visiting the city.
The Ulumbarra Theatre is an iconic location to watch a show. The converted jail was originally built in the 1860s but now showcases both local and international performances. Then enjoy a relaxed drink on one of the historic Bendigo trams. Leisurely roll through the streets of Bendigo on either the musical Blues Tram or The Yarn Bomb tram (you will have to see it to believe it).
Bendigo has plenty of great dining options including The Wood House and Masons of Bendigo, both within walking distance of the two Quest locations in Bendigo.
Geelong
Gateway to the Great Ocean Road.
Geelong is a fabulous waterside retreat and we have loved building houses in the region since 2000. Home to everything from water parks and surf beaches to contemporary galleries, breweries and cultural festivals, the Geelong and Bellarine region is full of places to explore.
Just 10 minutes from Geelong, Adventure Park has some of the coolest rides in Australia, offering awesome family fun.
For a more relaxing time, drive and explore the unique towns and beautiful beaches along The Great Ocean Road. Quest Geelong’s prime location on the Esplanade will leave you right across the road from Western Beach.
Horsham
Legendary natural attractions.
A stones throw from the Grampians National Park, Horsham is a fantastic base for hikers and climbers. With over 80 different walks for all activity levels, the region features breathtaking views, waterfalls, historic Indigenous sites and the iconic Mount Arapiles.
If you are seeking a less active visit, The Grampians wine region is home to some of the world’s oldest vines, specializing in Shiraz and sparkling wines. While there is no Quest Apartment Hotel located in Horsham, it is just a two-hour drive from Ballarat, making for an unforgettable day trip.
JG King homes is proud to have operated in Horsham since 1993. Our office is just minutes from the banks of the stunning Wimmera River.
Melbourne
Hidden spaces and iconic laneways.
In 1989, JG King Homes extended into Melbourne. One thing is for sure, you won’t be short of things to do while visiting. Head out any day of the week and enjoy a night of live music, performing arts or sport. There’s always a gig, comedy hour, or game taking place in locations all around the city.
You will be spoilt for choice with several world class dining precincts. Explore Flinders Lane (CBD), Domain Road (South Yarra), Church Street (Richmond) or High Street (Northcote) just to name a few. If you’re after some retail therapy, browse the city shops or Chadstone Shopping Centre.
With several Quest properties across the city including Quest NewQuay, Quest Melbourne Airport and Quest St Kilda Road, you can have your pick of the bunch.
Mildura
The edge of the Australian Outback.
The JG King Homes relationship with Mildura started back in 1999. The area is all about the outdoor experience, red earth and mighty rivers, pioneers and cultural heritage. There is plenty to explore on a 4WD adventure, or from the water on Mildura’s iconic paddle steamers.
Not to be missed are the Mungo National Park, the pink lakes at the Murray Sunset National Park and the iconic junction of Australia’s two longest rivers, The Darling and the Murray.
Quest Mildura is in a prime location in the center of the town, leaving everything on your doorstep.
Traralgon/ Gippsland
Unrivalled lakes and coastline.
Gippsland is the perfect gateway to eastern Victoria, we have been proudly building in the area since 2006. Spend the night at Quest Sale and explore the region by car.
The aptly named Golden Beach features pristine golden sands bordered by dunes and coastal vegetation that extends in both directions as far as the eye can see. Drive a bit further East and visit the quaint town of Metung where we recommend grabbing a bite to eat at the Metung Hotel, kayaking into the inlets or visiting the hot springs.
Only a few kilometers further, find yourself in stunning Lakes Entrance where the beautiful beaches, fishing spots and walks will keep you busy for days.
Shepparton
Heart of the Goulburn Valley.
The JG King Homes office opened in Shepparton in 2005. In the heart of the Goulburn Valley, Shepparton is just a short drive from breathtaking wineries, walks and art installations. Tallis Winery is a staff favourite, and if you visit at the right time of the year, the stunning canola fields will be flowering. Car enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Museum of Vehicle Evolution (MOVE). With plenty of different collections to explore and a great café, MOVE is an afternoon well spent.
Explore the centre of Shepparton through the cafés, antique shops and even stop for a game of mini golf. Alternatively, enjoy Lake Victoria which is right on the doorstep of Quest Shepparton.
Warrnambool
The heart of the Shipwreck Coast.
In 1991 JG King Homes started operating out of Warrnambool. The beautiful beachside town along the Great Ocean Road features a promenade on the foreshore, perfect for a walk to Point Richie.
Quest Warrnambool is conveniently located in the main street. Surrounded by restaurants and retail stores, it takes just minutes to walk to the beach, parklands and Flagstaff Hill, and a short 25 minute drive to picturesque Port Fairy and Tower Hill.
Alternatively, explore the Great Ocean Road by car, stopping at many of the other hotspots along the coast such as Childers Beach, Peterborough, Port Campbell and the Logan Beach Whale Watching Platform.
