Jamie and Shoel Perelman are the proud parents of 2 sons who are currently students at The Rashi School in Dedham, MA. Originally from New York, they relocated in 2013, and have happily been raising their family in the Boston area. Their journey with Gateways began when their eldest son began receiving support services while attending The Rashi School. The services and inclusive environment, aided by the Gateways team, have been profoundly beneficial, allowing their son, along with his peers and teachers, to grow and thrive. Jamie and Shoel believe that Gateways has been instrumental in their son having the opportunity to flourish in the day school setting they sought for their children. They are hopeful that with Gateways by their side, more families will have the chance to experience the same positive impact.

Ravid and Yaffa have lived in Newton for eight years, and Yaffa grew up in Chestnut Hill. They are parents to three boys: Avishai,12, Micah, 9, and Yair, 5. Ravid is the Director of Jewish Life and Learning at Schechter Boston and Yaffa is a psychotherapist in private practice and co-founder of the Boston Birth Village. They have multiple connections to Gateways — both professionally and personally — especially because of Ravid’s work at Schechter and Avishai’s participation in the Gateways B’nei Mitzvah Program. They enjoy spending time at the beach, making music together as a family band, and hosting friends and family for Shabbat and holiday meals.
