THINK OUTSIDE is the creator of remarkable hand-crafted sculptures, décor and furniture for homes, gardens or as cherished gifts.
All of Think Outside’s products are carefully crafted and designed with impeccable detail and build with integrity to bring joy into people’s lives.
Founded by Aaron Jackson in 1998, Think Outside has since gone from strength to strength and now employs over 300 people and supplies reputable home, garden and gift retailers across Australia, Europe, Asia and USA.
Since its conception, Think Outside has been committed to creating a global community by up skilling craftsmen in developing countries, whilst continually pushing the boundaries of art through innovation.
The unique pieces within each collection are custom designed by Aaron and crafted individually by artisans in developing countries, with Aaron regularly visiting to teach, guide and support the team.
This initiative was born out of Africa where Aaron regularly travelled for business, it was while in Zimbabwe he stumbled across locals creating rough metal sculptures on the side of the road. He recognized the skill and craftsmanship within each piece of artwork and the potential to support developing communities.
AARON JACKSON our creator artist
AARON JACKSON is the award-winning designer and creator behind THINK OUTSIDE.
A multi-talented and passionate businessman, Aaron’s journey and experiences have shaped his life and inspired the creation of unique and remarkable hand-crafted products for people to enjoy in their homes and gardens.
An artisan from a very young age, Aaron has always loved to be hands-on constructing and creating something new from the old with attention to the finer details, this passion led him into the world of fine jewellery design.
Starting his profession in Sydney, Australia, Aaron completed a four year apprenticeship in jewellery design at a boutique store.
Learning this traditional craft he began to master his skills in sculpting, drawing and painting while, finding a desire for restoration and custom design.
Aaron went on to win an Apprenticeship Design Award at the Australian Jewellers Design Awards and holds a Diploma in Gemmology.
By 1995, Aaron was working for a premier Sydney Jewellers, where he directed its very first open front-of-house workshop. Understanding and reading people’s characters, Aaron created bespoke and high ticket fashion pieces.
By this time he had completed another two Diplomas in Advanced Diamond grading and Jewellery Evaluation, Not to mention he received the Nelly Smith Award the highest level of recognition for hand carving and engraving.
Full of confidence and connections Aaron next ventured into the prestigious diamond industry in South Africa, starting his own business: AJ Diamond supplies. It was his extensive travels throughout Africa where the Inspiration began for Think Outside.

Working from Aaron’s designs, our Artisans lovingly handcraft every individual piece. Each item cycles through stages at our workshop, starting with cutting, shaping and welding and then finally onto our special finishing stage, ensuring a unique look associated with our products.
