THE INSIDER THE INCREDIBLE YEARS: RELATIONSHIPS BUILT DURING GROUP PROGRAMMING Story submitted by Cipriana Lopez
At the first session of one of our recent Incredible Years Programs, I paired two women together who seemed to have a lot in common. Since then, they have developed a strong and meaningful connection—they visit each other, attend church together, and provide ongoing support for each other. One participant shared that this relationship has been especially valuable, as she feels comfortable opening up to her buddy and talking when she needs someone to listen. Feedback like this highlights how impactful the buddy system can be for women in our programming. It has been encouraging to see relationships naturally form within the group and to witness participants supporting one another beyond our sessions.
