TST-R: MEETING THE CHALLENGES OF THE MOMENT

JFS’s TST-R, Lafayette and UB joined forces on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, to prepare students to meet the challenges of the moment. For the past five years, the TST-R program has been a cornerstone of the Structural Competency Series, in partnership with Lafayette, deepening fellows’ understanding of how social and structural factors, such as poverty, and barriers to accessing community resources shape mental health and overall wellness. Through seminars, community partnerships, and hands-on clinical experiences, child and adolescent psychiatry fellows explore how the “outside world” influences the “inside world” of the children and families they serve, while building skills to address these structural determinants in care. This year, the program was further enriched through collaboration with University at Buffalo Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) students, whose capstone projects on immigration, migration, and refugee experiences in Western New York are helping to strengthen TST-R’s skills-based group programming and advance meaningful community impact. General EAP Supervisory Orientation
Tuesday, April 14th 9:00am - 9:30am
This orientation provides an overview of available EAP resources and how to use them to support employees. Participants will also learn about EAP consultations, identifying employee concerns and types of EAP referrals.
Who Should Attend?
• Those in a supervisory role who are committed to promoting a workplace culture of safety and respect.
• Leadership, human resources staff and those involved with developing policies and procedures.

1.We are excited to continue the launch of ReGroup, our new emergency communication platform, along with the implementation of Secure Print across all copiers. These enhancements will help improve both safety and efficiency throughout our organization.
Last ReGroup Installation Sessions – In Person at 70 Barker
The last in person ReGroup/Regroup installations at 70 Barker is Monday, April 6 from 9am-11am.
A new Calendar invites for this session was sent to you. Please select the date that best fits your schedule. Araia, David, and Patty will be on site to guide you through the installation process, which should take about 15 minutes of your time
ReGroup App – Mandatory Requirement
All staff are required to have the ReGroup app installed on their work phone. If you prefer to install the app on your personal phone as well, we are happy to assist.
Secure Print Requirement – Action Needed by April 8 CHANGE
Please ensure that your print drivers are updated to Secure Print on your laptop by Wednesday, April 8. After that date, printing will be blocked on all copiers for anyone who has not completed the update.
ReGroup System Test – Tuesday, April 7 at 11:00 AM
A test ReGroup message will be sent on Tuesday, April 7 at 11:00 AM. You will receive instructions to respond, confirming successful delivery. Thank you in advance for your cooperation with these important system upgrades
