OPERATIONS UPDATE

PASSWORDS

UPDATE YOUR PASSWORDS: Have you received a message reminding you to update your VPN Microsoft 365 password? Don't ignore it! You only have 1-2 weeks from your first notification to update your password. After that, you will not be able to log in without changing the password. Please note, that when updating passwords, your VPN, Microsoft 365 and domain passwords are the connected. You must be connected to the WiFi in the office or the VPN to change the password. In addition, if your favorite app requests a password change, do it!

PASSWORD PROTECTION: Do you save your passwords in a notebook or on post-it notes NOOO!!! Oh, so you save them in the notes on your phone or in Google Passwords. Noooo! These are not good options for keeping your passwords secure. In order to keep all of your passwords safe, it's best to use PASSWORD PROTECTION. Password Protection is an access control technique that helps keep important data safe from hackers by ensuring it can only be accessed with the right credentials. You only have to remember one password in order to keep all of your other passwords safe! There are lots of different options for password protection: Last Pass, Bitwarden, Dashlane, Keeper and many more. So, we want to keep our passwords safe from who? Hackers! How do we keep our password safe? Password Protection!

COMPLICATE THINGS: It's best to create complicated passwords that are different for every app and website you login Each password should be a minimum of 14 characters and include CAPITALS, symb@ls and numb3rs. Use multi-step authentication when offered for more security.
