New York, as Cantor, It was announced by Ted Scldin, president of the congregation. Right Doors To Enter JCC

Debbie Friedman, singer and composer, will give a benefit concert on Sunday evening. May 11, at the Jewish Community Center at 7:30 p.m. Ms. Friedman, has performed in synagogues, centers and theaters across the country, bringing new life to ancient words and giving a new rhythm to the timeless messages of Judaism. She Is also well known to youth groups, such as BBYO, USY, and NCSY. "Debbie Friedman Is by far America's leading Hebrew song singer and composer", said Harris Goldstein, Director of the Jewish Day School of Omaha, which school is sponsoring the benefit concert. Mr. Goldstein indicated that the Day School students are familiar with Ms. Friedman's songs and will participate in parts of the program. Among Ms. Friedman's works are three long playing record albums of her own composition — the best selling

Judge Krivosba and Mrs. Fellman were honored as the outstanding Jewish woman and man In Nebraska by the older adult group of the Bureau for tbe Aging at a luncheon meeting last Tuesday at Beth El Synagogue. More than 250 attended from both Lincoln and Omaha.
