yssible' Dinner to Include Major Art Show By Marilyn Konlgsberg The Men's Invitational Dinner might have sounded like a lot of things; impractical, outrageously ambitious, even impossible, but Cookie and Jerry Hoberman saw it as a challenge. It's not a simple job to bring seven hundred people to the Jewish Community Center for a cocktail reception, video presentation, sit-down dlnnc and major art show, but then worthwhile events seldom are and that's why the committees are working overtime to make It memorable. Bobbl Epstein and her predlnner committee will greet guests at the door and make them feel as though they are at a friend's home for a dinner party. The dinner will be served In what is now referred to as the Center gymnasium, but for that evening a more appropriate name should really be used. Designer Skip White is working with decorations chairman Marcla Cohen to transform it into both dining room, with atmospheric lightIng and table decoralions.and screening room, complete with a 24 foot screen and special sound equipment for a video presentation. • Dinner chairman Mary
Bernstein promises that dinner Itself will be an event. Innovation Is the name of the game and plenty will be used. For Instance, Erwln Siegler will be using the exercise room as a warming and auxiliary kitchen in order to serve 700 hot dinners in the gym.
