Rabbi Marc Tmtabmm, u executive wtth the American Jewish Committee, was in Omalu recently, he spoke alwut a forthcoming •tudy which would have an impact on the Jewish family. News from New Yoit City teU us that this report is now availat>le and that the theme is as follows: "Tte currcBt obasMioB wtth tniUuil Is rsipoMMe for many of dM ffa thai American families and should be of special concern to Jews, for whom the family has always been a fbcal point in life."

The report alleges that three kinds of changes in American society threaten the traditional values of marrtafe and family: the breakdown of rellsious belief and practice, and erosion of respect for law and tradition;

... the detachment of individuals from one another and from the values and needs of the community; ... hedonistic, self-centered, essentially pagan life styles that concentrate on a single-minded pursuit of instant, continuous pleasure and fulfillment, bnA actually leave the individual unhappy and lonely and alienated. As more Information tiecomes available, we Shan pobiish it for we believe that like the JewWl family the ramifications of this study will be with us for a long time.
