The Dr. A. Greenberep Retires ByJHICKEV GERELICK " Omaha—It was fitting that the motion to dissolve the Wise • Memorial Hospital Association ' was made by Dr. Abe Greenberg, a long time member of the Association's E x e c u t i v e Committee.

The action marked the final chapter to one of Omaha Jewry's finest institutions. Italsp marked a final act of leadership by one of Omaha's leading citizens.

ait Wise Hospital Funds Donated to Sher Home Omaha—At a historic special meeting held October 13, 1971, the remaining assets of the Wise Memorial Hospital Association, $5,438.00, was donated to the Jewish Federation for use in "creative therapeutic programming",at the Dr. Philip Shcr Home for the Aged. Rogers Charged With 'Selling Israel Out' New York (JTA) — David Schoenbrun, the political commentator charged that Secretary of State William P.- Rogers was endangering the cause of. world peace and selling Israel out by recommending Israeli concessions t o w a r d a Suez Canal settlement and by continuing to insist on virtually total Israeli withdrawal-from the occupied Arab territories.

He said the thrust of United States policy should be to remove the Soviet presence from the' Middle East by pressing the .Kremlin to pull out concurrent with an American pullout from Southeast Asia. Such a plan, Schoenbrun said, would be in the best interests of the U.S. as well as' those of the Mideast 'and Indochinese nations.

Additionally, the commentator said, the U.S. should con-tinue to keep Israel militarily , strong, as she is the most democratic country he has ever visited. Schoenbrun said it was hypocritical for the Russians to charge Israel with aggression, and he called "obscene" the recent Security Council condemnation of Israel's policies - in East Jerusalem.

Eban, returning to Tel Aviv, told newsmetf it was "evil" the way his TV statement was broadcast in Israel. He denied saying .that he did not favor the continuation of trials of Nazi war criminals., "What I did say was that-facing the imnfense tragedy of the. holocaust I cannot think of revenge or indemnification by trials of miserable criminals," Eban said.

•He stressed that he supports the trials of war criminals, supports legislation against Na,zis and could only encourage those governments that try Nazi criminals. But the magnitude of the holcaust cannot be gauged by the trial of some criminals, lie added. !

According to the Consulate, the callers suggested that Eban's remarks must have been "distorted" in transmission to Israel because there was nothing in them offensive to Jewish feelings on the subject. .

Lt. E. B. Perlman, 28, a graduate of Uie University of Nebraska Engineering College, was aboard the electronic computer radar plane which collided with a Corsair attack plane.

Lt. Perlman was based on the carrier Midway at the time of the accident.

Besides ph y s i c a 1 activities and m u s c u l a r coordination, classes will include exercises in mental stimulation. Through active competition, group teamwork and coop e r a t i v e play, class activities will give the children an opportunity to release tensions and to develop self-confidence. Greenberg add-

' By showing him that "he can do it," Greenberg said, we 'can help the child to gain self-confidence in his feelings of personal worth. Developing athletic and game skills makes it possible for the children to participate in sports and games at home and on the school playground. Last but by no means least, "We can offer the child friendship," Greenberg said.

There* was dancing, singing, entertainment, music • and refreshments, free-for all. Our Betty Wiessman designed two of the costumes that won first and fifth prizes.

The monthly luncheon was well attended. Morris Nachman was chairman in the absence of our President, Bethq,Morris, who is ill. We all wish her a speedy recovery.
