by BOB GOLDBERG Director of Strategic Initiatives, Jewish Federation of Omaha In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Dec. 6, 1987, march on Washington to free Soviet Jews, the Jewish Federation is hosting a 2013 Annual Campaign event featuring a free classical music concert with two world-renowned musicians. The performers are natives of Moscow, Luba Agranovsky and Dmitri Kasyuk. Both Luba and Dmitri are graduates of the Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow and winners of numerous Russian piano and flute competitions. They moved to Jerusalem in 1990.

Since winning both the Israel Broadcast Authority Competition (Jerusalem) and the “Carlo Soliva” International Chamber Music Competition in Casale Monferrato (Italy), their International careers have taken off. The Duo has made numerous recordings for Israel Radio and Israel TV and also has made highly successful appearances with Israeli Orchestras as flute and piano soloists. During the last ten years they have been performing regularly as a duo and solo performers in music centers throughout Germany, Italy, England, Scotland, Russia, Israel, USA and Canada.
