Creating your own Jewish legacy ensures that you will be remembered and that your work and your values will continue when you are no longer here. It also serves as an example to your loved ones that you believe it is important to support the Jewish Community. Don and Andrea Kaiser believe in wanting to perpetuate the importance of strong ties to Israel and have established the Kaiser Family Endowment through Jewish Long Beach. One component of this Endowment is the establishment of two scholarships for student trips to Israel.

The Kaiser Family Endowment will provide an annual grant of $1,000 per year each to a graduate of Hebrew Academy of Orange County and to a Hillel student to help with personal expenses on an authorized organizational trip to Israel. The 2021 recipient of this scholarship from the Hebrew Academy was Audriel Winder.

She states, “I would like to say thank you again for helping me make this year of a reality. I absolutely love it here. I’m loving my classes and I love how my seminary uses Israel as our classroom. It is so fascinating that I learn about the biblical history in Israel while actually being here in Israel. I have made many friends in my program who I instantly bonded with, and I genuinely think these friendships will last forever.“
