A night when a special guest speaker such as Alison Lebovitz leaves us feeling we can accomplish anything together...
Special Message from
A night from which we create immeasurable love, infinite possibilities, deep bonding, and ultimately a stronger, sweeter, more supportive and sustainable Jewish community...
A night that is good for your soul.
My Federation journey started when I went to an event. I later worked on a committee. Next, I joined the young leadership group, became active in Women’s Philanthropy and eventually accepted a position on the Board before becoming Treasurer then President.
Cheryl Markbreiter
President, Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey
It is thrilling and an honor to be part of your journey connecting with the Jewish community and your instinct and desire to help those in need and invest in a bright Jewish future, realizing how much of a difference you can make, deepening your commitment and competence to do so, inspiring and empowering others along the way, and enabling this Jewish community to be more caring, connected, and capable in addressing any challenge we may face today or for generations to come.
A night where you know you’re part of a big Jewish family...
Hello, friends. Welcome to The Main Event — a night celebrating Jewish life and aspirations...
And while our Federation family tackles many of the serious issues facing Jews today, we are here to make the world more just and joyful. We bring joy to our task and we take joy from working together, being together, and building together. Thank you for being here.
In the two years since we last gathered in person for The Main Event, this community has addressed profound humanitarian needs stemming from the pandemic, war in Ukraine, rising antisemitism, and inflation. We have shown our resolve to stick together, care for people who are vulnerable, and rally in a crisis. And at the same time, we have demonstarted ingenuity, resilience, and above all a love for joyful Jewish living that propels us today and which we passionately seek to instill in our children for a bright tomorrow.
YOU are the woman who finds meaning in supporting Federation, even when times are tough, because you know Federation saves lives and sustains Jewish life in ways no other organization can.
Executive Director, Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey
At the heart of it all is YOU.
You ARE Federation. You are the heart and soul of Jewish life and community. You create the Jewish future by your deeds of today.
Thank you for bringing your passion, your dreams, your voice, and your strength to all we are, all we can be — in fact, all we must be to make Jewish life safe, supportive, sustainable, and most of all sweet today and for generations to come.
Welcome friends, supporters, and partners. Thank you for being here to celebrate and strengthen our Jewish community as we gather for this night of connection, camaredie, and inspiration.
YOU are our new generation of mothers, professionals, and entrepreneurs who crave, and invest what you can in, a closeknit Jewish community to enrich your family life and Jewish soul.
YOU are our Lions of Judah and Pomegranates committed to the highest levels of philanthropy and using your voices to inform world leaders on today’s concerns, within and beyond Jewish life.
Greetings from Susan Antman

To our Women’s Philanthropy leaders, Kristyn Mednik, Sheryl Grutman, Brenda Tanzman: thank you for embodying what Alison Lebovitz says is “not a torch relay” but a “torch lighting.” You are not merely passing the torch between generations, but sharing your flame, creating more light, creating more energy and warmth to make this community more caring and connected.
Women are the changemakers of the world. We are sisters and daughters, mothers and friends, compassionate and committed at every stage of our lives and careers.
Young People... Today’s youth are tomorrow’s Jewish future. Your gift enables Federation and partners to empower young people to discover Jewish joy, embrace their Jewish identity and secure the Jewish Respondingfuture.in
Those in Need... Needs relating to food insecurity, mental health, and human services for people with special needs have skyrock eted. Your gift enables Jewish Federation and partners to care for the vulnerable and assure them they are not alone.
Antisemitism... With an alarming increase in antisemitism world wide, Jewish Federation has redoubled efforts taking, and demanding, action. Your gift enables us to urgently fight hate and the security threats it presents NOW.
a Crisis... You don’t build a firehouse when the fire’s already started. Annual Campaign contributions allow the Jewish community to respond immediately and effectively when crisis strikes, as in the Ukraine war, hate-based violence, and natural Thankdisaster.you for jewishheartnj.org/donategiving.
