Jewish Federation and National Security partners have joined forces to compile a guide for professionals who have the responsibility to ensure the safety of the community at their school, synagogue or other Jewish organization. The guide should be used to help organizations' security directors, rabbis, CEOs or safety committees start a conversation about public safety and jump start the first steps of developing a comprehensive security plan. It is a compilation of skills, tools, expertise, and ideas from safety and security leaders that uses short clear definitions and actions to take. It is not, however, a comprehensive a guide and should not take the place of active plans, procedures, as security is a complex issue.
