Jett Foundation empowers people and families impacted by Duchenne muscular dystrophy through the development of transformative programming, educational opportunities, and ongoing support for every stage of a Duchenne journey.

Dear friends and partners,
As we reflect on the milestones of 2025, one theme stands clear: the power of our “village.” For nearly 25 years, Jett Foundation has been defined by the strength of our families and the generosity of our supporters. This past year was a testament to what we can achieve when we move forward together.
In 2025, we deepened our commitment to the everyday needs of our community. Through the Jett Giving Fund, we distributed nearly $1.5 million in direct financial assistance, ensuring families had access to life-essential medical equipment, emergency assistance including but not limited to, housing, food, utility bills, vehicle repairs, and accessible vehicles. We also provided a space for joy, connection, and independence, serving over 250 participants through our barrier-free Camp Promise programs.

Our mission to empower extended beyond direct aid. We hosted over 20 educational webinars and community workshops, bringing clinical expertise directly to the living rooms of our families. We also launched new platforms for connection, such as our “Beyond the Diagnosis: Duchenne Perspectives” podcast, while continuing to serve as a primary voice for patient advocacy on a national stage.

None of this would be possible without the strength of our regional community. From the record-breaking $175,000 raised at our Jett Golf Classic to the incredible effort of our Team Jett athletes, your engagement fuels our momentum. We have also worked hard to solidify our regional footprint, strengthening partnerships with industry leaders to ensure New England remains a hub of hope for the Duchenne community.
As we look toward our 25th anniversary in 2026, we are more focused than ever on identifying and filling the unmet needs of our families. Thank you for being a vital part of this journey.
With gratitude,

Eric Snyder President & CEO Jett Foundation
For Francisco and Emerald Vargas, the diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) didn’t come just once, it came three times. With four sons, Christopher (15), Julian (13), Giovanni (10), and Nicholas (3), the San Antonio couple found themselves navigating a world they never knew existed, facing a reality that felt impossibly heavy.
“Being young parents, we had never even heard of Duchenne,” Francisco recalls. “We felt alone. We had a doctor who didn’t know anything about it, and insurance wasn’t any help. We felt like there was nobody there for us.”
The physical and financial toll was immediate. Caring for three children with DMD meant back-to-back medical appointments and the increasing physical challenge of lifting growing boys. Francisco struggled to find employers who understood the demands of a Duchenne household. “It’s hard to keep a job when you have to take days off to move them and carry them,” he explains.
The Vargas family was at a breaking point, feeling like they were “running on empty,” until they connected with Jett Foundation.
The family’s most pressing need was transportation. For years, Francisco had tried every avenue to secure a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for his sons. After applying to the Jett Giving Fund’s Accessible Vehicle Fund (AVF), the family remained persistent, attending conferences and learning from the community. When they were finally selected for a van, it changed the trajectory of their daily lives, providing the safety and accessibility their sons deserved.
“I’ve tried every way to get them a vehicle,” Francisco says. “For there to be a place like Jett Foundation is a blessing. We were one of those families that really needed it.”
Jett Foundation’s support didn’t stop at the driveway. When the family faced a gap between jobs, another arm of the Jett Giving Fund, the Emergency Fund, stepped in to provide rental assistance and a food card to fill their pantry.

“It was unexpected and it went a long way,” says Francisco. “It gave us the opportunity to have a meal for many weeks. Jett has gone above and beyond the call to action.”
“Jett has gone above and beyond the call to action.”
While the Jett Giving Fund provided the hardware for their journey, Porch Nite provided the heart. For Emerald, joining these support groups for moms was a revelation.
“Before Jett, we didn’t really talk to anyone. We didn’t know any other families in San Antonio,” Emerald shares. Through Porch Nite, she found a sisterhood of mothers who understood her daily battles. “It feels amazing to talk to other moms. I get to chime in on conversations and hear about things that might not have happened to us yet, but it opens my eyes so I can notice issues later on.”
Today, the Vargas family is no longer taking this path alone. They have a team behind them. When asked what he would say to those who fund Jett Foundation’s mission, Francisco’s message is simple:
“Think of these children as your own. If you have the ability to help, do it. Foundations like Jett are those I will stand on with my life, because there is no one else out there who wants to help as much as they do. We thought we had nothing, and then we found Jett.”

At Jett Foundation, our mission is driven by a powerful truth: we are a community-led organization. While our programs reach families across the nation, the engine behind that reach is a dedicated network of volunteers who give their time, expertise, and hearts to support those living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders.
From the boardroom to the campfire, volunteerism at Jett Foundation takes many forms, each one vital to our collective success.
Our Board of Directors and Special Committees provide the strategic compass for Jett. These individuals, many of whom have personal ties to the Duchenne community, volunteer hundreds of hours annually to ensure our organization remains sustainable, transparent, and focused on the future. Their professional expertise in finance, law, advocacy, and business is the bedrock upon which our growth is built.
No one understands the journey of a rare disease diagnosis better than those living it. Our volunteer Community Ambassadors serve as a lifeline for families, offering peer

support and navigating the complexities of the Duchenne landscape. By sharing their lived experiences, these volunteers ensure that no family ever has to travel this path alone.
Each summer, Camp Promise transforms lives, but it wouldn’t be possible without our incredible Volunteer Counselors and Medical Staff. These individuals provide 24/7 one-on-one care, ensuring our campers can experience the joy of independence and friendship in a safe, accessible environment. Their dedication turns a week of camp into a lifetime of memories.
Education is empowerment. Our workshop presenters and webinar speakers volunteer their specialized knowledge to keep our community informed. From clinicians explaining the latest research to accessibility experts sharing home-modification tips, these volunteers donate their professional time to ensure Jett families have the tools they need to thrive.
Whether it is a doctor presenting a webinar or a counselor cheering at a camp talent show, every volunteer hour is an investment in the Duchenne community.
“Jett Foundation isn’t just an organization; it’s a family made of people who choose to show up for one another,” says Alexa Tinsley, Director of Programs. “Every role, no matter how behind-the-scenes, moves the needle for our individuals and our families.”
To our volunteers: You are the heartbeat of Jett Foundation. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our mission.

Partnering with Jett Foundation as a webinar presenter in 2025 has been a profoundly rewarding experience. I was able to provide information and educate the community on clinical trial aspects. Jett Foundation bridges the gap by providing a platform where medical expertise meets real-world family needs, for a much larger audience. Their commitment to empowering families with accessible, high-quality information is unparalleled, and I am honored to contribute to a village that prioritizes the overall wellbeing of the entire Duchenne community.
Being an ambassador for Jett Foundation has helped build a strong sense of community and created a gathering I always look forward to.. The moms I have met have become great friends and support system through this wild journey. I feel grateful, blessed and I look forward to what is to come.
I’ve been working on Duchenne for about four years now. At Entrada we’ve had this awesome opportunity to meet the families and the people living with the conditions that we’re working on. I knew that meeting the community has always been really motivating for me, but I don’t want to gloss over how impactful it was actually getting to live with them and care for them. I’m so grateful for how I was quickly accepted into the community despite having no idea what I was doing or how to care for somebody. My initial reaction was, ‘of course I’m going to do this. I can’t wait to have this experience, but I don’t know if I can.’ But I got there and immediately was thrown into the deep end of the trainings. The other counselors were such awesome mentors. I quickly tapped into this other aspect of my personality that I now call ‘camp counselor Chris’ that has a lot more energy, is really joyful and patient. I learned a lot about myself and gained confidence. Now I try to bring camp counselor Chris around a little more.
While it may sound cliché, this experience has truly been life-changing. I’m still searching for the words to fully express the impact camp has had on me. It stays with me each day, and I’m thrilled to open this volunteer opportunity to our organization and invite others to experience something so meaningful.
Serving as a volunteer board member has been wonderfully rewarding. I have also had the opportunity to serve as a volunteer counselor at Camp Promise. I have learned so much from the campers, staff, and other volunteers at Camp Promise - Rockies. It is a fun and life-changing opportunity—even if it is sometimes challenging and a bit sleep-depriving (those bunk beds can be awful!). Getting to know all of the fantastic people there (Go Camp Rockies!) has been honestly one of the best experiences of my life.

Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) presents a constant challenge for families. Jett Foundation’s Jett Giving Fund understands this struggle and believes that by working together as a community, a significant impact can be made for families. The Jett Giving Fund program provides crucial financial assistance to families battling Duchenne, offering support in a time of great need.
Established in 2017, the Jett Giving Fund has improved the quality of life for countless families. Jett Foundation recently expanded the program to encompass three vital branches:
• Accessible Vehicle Fund: Helps families obtain safe, accessible transportation.
• Emergency Fund: Provides grants to families facing unexpected, emergency situations.
• Equipment Fund: Helps families with small accessibility or medical items that are either not covered by insurance or too expensive.
Through partnerships with other dedicated advocacy organizations, we have been able to distribute $4.5 million across all three branches since the program’s inception. This comprehensive program has distributed 74 pieces of life-changing, accessibility equipment and 130 emergency grants.
This translates to families across the nation gaining access to vital transportation, the ability to meet their families’ basic needs, and ensure their children have the care they need.
The past year of Jett Giving Fund’s success wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering support of our partners.
Thanks to the leadership of our Angel Sponsor, Cure Dale’s Duchenne, a consortium of support has been founded through The Killian Family, Finn’s Friends, Michael’s Cause, Kindness Over Muscular Dystrophy, and Ryan’s Quest. Together, we were able to identify and assist additional families with their support. Here are some powerful testimonials from our partner organizations:
• Cure Dale’s Duchenne: “Jett Foundation has a proven track record of transparency and genuine support for families in our community. We trust in the work they are doing and rather than reinvent the wheel, Jett has already got the footwork done and the community knows to look to Jett Foundation for help.”
• The Killian Family: “What Jett Foundation does far outweighs my small contribution.”
• Finn’s Friends: “The amount of work Jett Foundation puts into every detail of the partnership process is excellent. We could not be more proud to associate our foundation with such a remarkable pillar in the DMD community.”
• Michael’s Cause: “Michael’s Cause is proud to support the Jett Giving Fund each year because the funding is going directly to those families in need.”
• Ryan’s Quest: “At Ryan’s Quest, we are dedicated to finding a cure, but we know that our families are living with Duchenne today. We support the Jett Giving Fund because it provides the immediate, tangible relief that families need to stay mobile and independent. Partnering with Jett Foundation allows us to broaden our impact, ensuring that while we work toward a better future, we are also making life better in the present.”

From the moment I met my best friend Dale in kindergarten, I have felt a powerful pull to the Duchenne community, and it has become one of the most impactful parts of my life over the last few years. When my fraternity was looking for a beneficiary for its spring barbecue fundraiser, I immediately saw an opportunity to make a difference. Over two consecutive years, my fraternity and I organized an event that raised funds for Jett’s Accessible Vehicle Fund and brought awareness to Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Collaborating with the amazing team at Jett Foundation encouraged me to volunteer at Camp Promise, which was an even more powerful experience and one I believe everyone who is capable should experience.

Volunteering at Camp Promise is the highlight of our Colorado based team's year. We love bringing an activity to camp like making liquid nitrogen ice cream, a shark tank activity, or this year's Top Chef! Seeing all the campers participate, get creative and be so competitive brings me and my science team so much joy! Camp holds such a special place in my heart and getting to see campers of all ages have their best week of the year, is a highlight of my summer!
• Kindness Over Muscular Dystrophy: “When we formed KOMD, giving to the Jett Giving Fund was one of our goals. When we join forces to support those in need, we get to experience the joy in the faces of DMD kids and that’s an amazing thing to behold.”
Jett Foundation understands the importance of collaboration. We actively seek partnerships with other organizations to:
• Expand our collective reach: By working together, a wider network of families in need can be identified and supported.
Supporting Jett Foundation is personal for us because our grand nephews are living with Duchenne; we see firsthand the critical difference this organization makes in their lives and the lives of so many others. We are proud to bring our staff to the Jett Golf Classic every year, not just to hit the greens, but to come together with a community that provides real hope and essential resources for families.
• Maximize impact: Partnering allows for Jett Foundation and the Jett Giving Fund’s resources to be stretched further, directly aiding more families.
• Create a stronger support system: Collaboration fosters a more robust and impactful support network for the entire Duchenne community.
Together, we can create a world of difference for families facing Duchenne. To learn more about becoming a partner and helping us reach more families, contact Jett Foundation today.

The 2025 season has been a busy and meaningful one for the Jett Foundation community. Across several key events, our supporters have responded to the call to raise awareness and vital funds for those impacted by Duchenne muscular dystrophy. From the golf course to the race track, the dedication of our athletes and participants continues to drive our mission forward.
The Jett Golf Classic was a standout success this year. It remains one of our most important traditions, bringing together a dedicated group of partners and families for a day of sport and philanthropy. The continued growth of this event provides a strong financial foundation for our programs, allowing us to keep delivering essential resources to the Duchenne community.
Our Team Jett athletic initiative brought incredible energy to our 2025 season, fueling participation in signature events like the National Challenge and the Cohasset Triathlon. This enthusiasm carried directly through the summer as we cheered on our largest team to date at the historic Falmouth Road Race. Along the seven-mile course, our athletes amplified our mission and drove a successful year of fundraising and advocacy.
The season’s most inspiring display came from our Gals for Cal team. Despite a significant downpour on race day,

the team’s spirit remained unshaken. The group, including several moms of children living with Duchenne, provided a powerful reminder of the resilience our families show every day. By running through the rain, they demonstrated the true meaning of “showing up” for the cause.
Beyond these organized races, we are deeply grateful for the independent “third-party” fundraisers who organized their own community events like “Ugly Sweater” runs and local walk/rolls.
Whether on the greens or in the rain, every mile covered and every dollar raised makes a tangible difference for the Duchenne community. These grassroots efforts are essential to our success, proving that there are countless ways to make an impact.
We are grateful for every mile run, every putt made, and every creative idea brought to life!
250+ athletes joined Team Jett events across the country

210 golfers and volunteers spent the day with us on the green at the Jett Golf Classic
$175,000 in mission support raised at this year’s golf tournament

In 2025, the Duchenne community once again proved that while our individual journeys may differ, our collective voice is an unstoppable force. From local neighborhood walks to global digital campaigns, Rare Disease Day and World Duchenne Awareness Day served as powerful reminders of what we can achieve when we stand together.
This year’s Rare Disease Day focused on the power of sharing adaptive experiences. Our community stepped up to show the world that living with Duchenne isn’t just about the challenges—it’s about the incredible innovation and resilience used to navigate them. From showcasing modified home spaces to sharing tips on accessible travel and assistive technology, families opened a window into their daily lives. By sharing these lived experiences, we
didn’t just raise awareness; we built a roadmap for others in the community to live more independently and vibrantly.
As we marked World Duchenne Awareness Day, the sea of red was visible across the globe. Our community engaged in “Raising the Bar” for inclusion, accessibility, and research. Whether it was lighting up local landmarks in red or participating in educational webinars, the goal remained clear: ensuring every person living with Duchenne has the opportunity to thrive.
As we look back on the impact of 2025, we celebrate the volunteers, the advocates, and the families who continue to turn awareness into action. Together, we are Stronger than Duchenne.

While our physical events bring us together in person, Jett Foundation’s digital presence has become a vital lifeline, extending our reach to families in every corner of the country and beyond. Through a strategic mix of social connection, education, and storytelling, we are ensuring that no family faces a Duchenne diagnosis alone, regardless of their location.
Our Facebook groups serve as the digital heartbeat of our community. These private, moderated spaces offer a 24/7 support system where parents, caregivers, and individuals living with Duchenne can exchange advice, share triumphs, and find comfort among those who truly understand the journey. By fostering these virtual neighborhoods, we’ve created a national network of support that transcends state lines.
Beyond support groups, we are committed to bringing joy and connection to our youth through Camp Promise virtual
weekends and year-round virtual programming. These digital sessions recreate the spirit of our in-person camps, offering games, crafts, and social interaction for campers across the nation. By leveraging virtual platforms, we ensure that the “magic of camp” is accessible to everyone, regardless of medical complexity or geographic location, keeping our campers connected all year.
Knowledge is power, and our online educational webinars bring world-class expertise directly into the homes of our families. From clinical trial updates to specialized care strategies, these sessions provide critical information that might otherwise be inaccessible. By removing the barriers of travel and cost, we empower our community to become informed advocates for their loved ones.
This year’s World Duchenne Awareness Day (WDAD) social media campaign demonstrated the true power of our collective voice. Through a coordinated digital effort, our
85 campers participated in this year’s Camp Promise Virtual Weekend

message reached thousands of new screens, trending across platforms and bringing unprecedented visibility to the cause. This global digital activation is more than just “likes,” it is a catalyst for the advocacy and fundraising that sustains our mission.
We are thrilled to further expand our reach with the launch of our new podcast, “Beyond the Diagnosis: Duchenne Perspectives” hosted by Jett Foundation’s Social Worker, Jessica Campbell. This medium allows us to dive deeper into the lived experiences of the Duchenne community. By sharing long-form stories and expert interviews in an accessible audio format, we are meeting our community where they are, whether they are on their morning commute or in the waiting room of a clinic.
Through these digital windows, Jett Foundation continues to grow, proving that while Duchenne is a rare disease, the community fighting it is vast, connected, and louder than ever.
