Blessings
The Lord will make you experience Him as a Father to you from now on and shall bless you abundantly for all the losses, pains and sorrow that you have seen so far and shall also break open every closed door for you, honouring you wherever you experienced shame thus far.
In Luke 11:13, the Bible says, “If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Yes, God gives good gifts. The Holy Spirit is the greatest good gift that He gives us. When God's blessings come, they destroy the curses as in Deuteronomy 23:5, “However, the Lord your God would not listen
to Balaam but turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.” Yes, blessings destroy curses. The world brings curses, but God sends blessings. One ballistic missile after another may come but another missile comes to destroy it. In the same way, when the enemy sends a ballistic missile to destroy you, God’s goodness comes from the other side and destroys it. You shall prevail. He says, “One blessing after another will come. John 1:16. I am your Father. I will help you.”
Increased Blessings
Secondly, you will experience God as your Father and receive increased
blessings in your life. In Isaiah 51:2, the Bible says, “Look to Abraham your father, And to Sarah who bore you; For I called him alone, And blessed him and increased him.”
God called Abraham when he was alone. He blessed him and increased him. God is a God of increase. He doesn’t want you to stagnate.
Blessings in double measure
And in Zechariah 9:12, He says, “Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.” Yes, you will receive all that you have lost, back in double measure. Not double trouble, but double measure of blessings. When troubles come, they come from all sides at the same time. But when blessings come, they also come from all sides as well as from top and bottom too because Jesus has paid the price for every trouble. Our hope is in the suffering and the victory of Jesus on the cross.
“By the God of your father who will help you, And by the Almighty who will bless you With blessings of heaven above, Blessings of the deep that lies beneath, Blessings of the breasts and of the womb.”
(Genesis 49:25)
Today, God gives you the desire to receive the double portion. That is the greatest blessing you can have. Do not get reconciled to years of suffering saying, “I am finished. I have no future. It’s all over. I’m beyond help. My age is beyond help. My situation is beyond help.”
Desire to receive double
Now God will put a desire for increase, for abundance, for exceeding abundance, a desire for a double portion, a desire for multiplication in you. Psalms 20:4. He will put that desire in your heart. If you read Ecclesiastes 3:11, the Bible says, “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time, also he hath set the world in their
heart…” That’s the desire. The desire of the flesh is wrong. But the desire in the spirit is given by God. In Galatians 5:16, the Bible says, “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” The Holy Spirit will give you a desire to increase according to God’s plan for you, to have double.
How to receive a double portion?
There was one man in the Bible who desired double. His name is Elisha. When Elijah said, “The time has come for me to go and leave the world.” He said, “Elisha, what do you want from me? Why are you clinging to me? Elisha said, “I want the double of the Spirit of God that is in you, that is upon you.”
Today, would you fight with your Heavenly Father and say: “I want double of Your Spirit, Your joy, Your blessings and double of the outcome of Your sacrifice on the cross for me. You’ve already made the sacrifice. I want the double portion of the blessing and inheritance.”
But for Elisha to receive the double portion, he had to walk with Elijah. When my father saw T.L. Osborn in 1962 bringing miracles to the people of India through his ministry in the name of Jesus, he said: “I want this Jesus. I’ve only heard about the words of Jesus. But I have not experienced the miraculous Jesus.” My father cried to Him for 7 years to bestow His Spirit upon Him. In answer to that the Lord Jesus appeared to him and anointed him endowing His Spirit of His love for the people. That changed his life. Millions have come into the Kingdom of God through my father’s ministry of love & compassion. It never stopped there. God’s grace has come upon his son, upon his daughter-in-law, and upon their children. And today, the next generation is ready to carry the love of Jesus to much more. Five generations have been anointed and blessed through one man’s desire, through one person’s desire to be endowed with God’s Spirit.
So today, you’re going to get the double portion. But what is that walk that’s needed? You may walk with us in Jesus Calls to fulfil the mission given to us for the blessing of millions as Elisha walked with Elijah.
Let me quickly share with you about the walk that brought Elisha the double portion. It’s not just praying and saying, “Lord, give me the double portion.” You have to walk with Jesus & His ministers of today to receive the double portion.
Circumcise yourself from the world
If you read 2 Kings 2:1, the first place that they went together was Gilgal. Both Elisha and Elijah were in Gilgal. What is Gilgal? If you read Joshua 5:9, it’s the place where Joshua circumcised all the Israelites before they went into the Promised Land exiting the place of bondage. All Israelites were circumcised, and only then were they ready or qualified to enter the Promised Land. We need to be circumcised not physically today, but spiritually to enter into and possess the promises for our life, ministry and family. The first step in our lives to get into the double portion, or increase, or multiplication, or exceeding blessing is circumcision.
If you read Exodus 4:24–26, God speaks to Moses through a burning bush and says: “Go and get My people out of Egypt and deliver them from Pharaoh.” It was a great commission for the life of Moses. He was a nomad, a person who was being sought after to be killed by a king. God says, “Go back and save a nation. Go and build a nation. Form a new nation from those who are oppressed, who are in bondage.”
That’s our mission. God needs only one person, just one person who would hear His voice to save a people and to build them as God’s nation through the mission of Jesus Calls. With much hesitation, Moses, his wife, and his son go back to Egypt. But then, the Bible says that on the way, God tried to kill Moses. Moses was only going on God’s mission. He was obeying the Lord. But God came to kill Moses!
It's shocking isn’t it? Many times, this is exactly what happens in our lives.
When God spoke to my father to build an University in India, the first professional University with a Christian perspective, to raise up Daniels and Josephs in the nation of India, we had nothing in our hands. God always speaks to you when you have nothing in your hands. When you’re beaten down. When you're lying on the floor. When you're spat upon. That’s when God comes and says: “Build a University. Build a healing centre, a hospital, a counselling centre, a ministry, an orphanage and so on. Build a new nation! ”
But then the first thing that happened was heart-breaking. My sister who was just 17 years old was killed in a cruel car accident. She was traveling with my parents. My father used to kiss her at least 50 times a day. He loved her so much. A truck which was travelling on the wrong side of the road in the opposite direction hit the car in which they were travelling. She fell on my father’s lap dead. In a moment, she was gone. Our hearts were broken. But the Lord came and said, “How long are you going to keep crying? Angel is with Me. Are you going to deny Me before the angels? Are you going to deny Me
before Satan? Or are you going to stand up and say, ‘We will still follow the Lord,’ even in the midst of this suffering?” And we said, “Lord, where else can we go? We have to reach heaven. We will not question You. We just trust You.” Immediately, the Spirit of God who helps us in our weaknesses came and lifted us up in His Spirit. Today, the University which we were empowered to establish that same year stands with nearly 40,000 graduates across the world who are placed in the highest levels of engineering, technology, agriculture, and many serving the Lord as God’s servants. We had to be circumcised. NO QUESTIONING GOD! CUT OFF THE FORESKIN OF BLAMING GOD OR ASKING GOD TO ANSWER YOU FOR WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU IN LIFE.
Zipporah, the wife of Moses, cut off the foreskin of their son and put his blood filled fore skin upon Moses. He was saved to enter Egypt with the power of God to deliver the people. Even today, there are many things that must be cut off from us.
Circumcise yourself from hatred and grumbling
The first one is found in Isaiah 1:15, where God says, “When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood!” What is that blood? In 1 John 3:15, the Bible says, “Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.” Anyone who hates their brother or sister (even if they are guilty of hurting you) is a murderer. Jesus taught us to love everyone. He cried, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing (Luke 23:34). Jesus loved even those who crucified his body as well as His heart saying, "If I don’t forgive them who else will? I have the power to forgive sins, bear all the burdens, and bring healing. Let Me use it to forgive and save. I came to save and not to destroy." Cut off the foreskin of hate and hurt. Heal your heart by forgiving those who did evil to you and maintain peace with all men to have the grace to see God. Hebrews 12:14 says, "Make every effort to live in peace with
everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord." 1 John 4:20 says, "Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen."
The second foreskin to be cutoff is “grumbling”. In Amos 5:23 the Lord says, “Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.”
The Lord says in Isaiah 29:13, “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.”
What takes our hearts far from the Lord? It is grumbling. When the Israelites were brought out of Egypt and delivered from Pharaoh, they didn’t get food or water so they began to grumble against the Lord. And yet they would still go to pray. They would pray long prayers. They would offer music to God. But when troubles came they grumbled against God. Moses said to the grumblers in Exodus 16:7,8, “...he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we, that you should grumble against us?” “You are not grumbling against us, but against the Lord.”
In my life whenever God would speak to me through prophecy, and ask me to undertake a huge project in faith to serve millions, with nothing in my hands just as the situation of Moses, Jacob, David who possessed only a staff and had death following them, I too would have nothing but would have intense attacks from evil people who have nothing to do in my life. They would spread lies and tried to destroy our reputation to try to stop the mission given by God. But then, I have now learned to praise God for His love for me and the greatness of His power to carry me out of the deep waters and make we walk over the waters.
I realized that walking with God doesn’t mean avoiding the storms but walking above them with Him. Grumbling only pushed away His presence. But when I chose to believe and pray the prophecy into being, every closed door opened. The very people who opposed
us have always been silenced, and justice has prevailed. We could declare before the nation: “Our God reigns.” Through it all, I’ve learned: we are more than conquerors, not because the battle is easy, but because God is faithful. Truly, the God of Job is alive. ”Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him” (Job 13:15).
Circumcision says, no more “I,” but Christ living in me. Your reputation can never be shaken because it is righteous before God. Your name is righteous before God. When you never grumble, never hate anybody and love everybody, you will stand up and be more than a conqueror.
Stay in God’s calling
Then Elijah said, “I have to go to Bethel.” And Elisha said, “I will follow you to Bethel.” What is Bethel? Bethel is the place of the first vision, in Genesis 28:19. God reminded Elisha that He remembers how when Elijah called him to do the ministry following Him unconditionally Elisha just obeyed leaving his wealthy life and his parents to the ministry of servitude to fulfil God’s greater call in the days to come. He reminded Elisha there that it was time for Him to honour him for his stepping out into His call faithfully.
“I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.”
Jacob left his parents, he had nothing. He had the fear of death following him because his brother wanted to kill him. He had only a rod in his hand nothing else. But what he did have was the backing of obedience. He had obeyed his parents. His father and mother said, “Go get up and go.” And he just obeyed them. And the God of his parents followed him. God appeared to him and said, “I will give you this land. Today, you are a nobody, but I will make you somebody in the days to come because you have obeyed Me through your parents. You obeyed My word.” Absolute obedience is to obey with nothing in your hands. Bethel is the place where we return to our first vision and first calling and that calling is confirmed by God by fulfilling His promise of perfecting everything related to our call in life through us.
At 19, while pursuing my master’s, God called me to preach in place of my father. I had no gifts operating then; no experience except just obedience to my parents who sent me to preach on their behalf. Before nearly 15,000 people in an open field, it began to rain as I stepped up to preach. With compassion for the sick and needy, I prayed aloud, “Lord, stop the rain. These people should not return back without being delivered, healed and transformed.” It stopped instantly. That night, miracles broke out. From then, the gifts of the Spirit began to operate in me. Twelve years later, a former alcoholic who had attended that meeting testified that he came drunk, touched the hem of my blazer, fell unconscious, and woke up transformed being freed from addiction and is now preaching Christ. Despite obstacles, that testimony reminded me: God’s calling stands. He never forgets to honour the calling that He has laid upon you. I said, “Lord, I will hold on to Your call." Jesus is faithful. Go on with the calling He gave you and He will do the miracles through you in every way to care for the people you are called to serve.
Stay away from doomsday Prophets
Thirdly they came to Jericho. Elijah said, “I’m going to Jericho.” Elisha replied, “I will come with you.” What is Jericho? In Joshua 6:21, the Bible says Jericho was shut up and sealed for the Israelites. They could not enter it or overcome it. Why? Because there were dooms day prophets there. When Elijah and Elisha were walking toward Jericho, the prophets came and said to Elisha, “Do you know God is going to take away your master from you today? God has already shown us! You’re going to become an orphan today!” They were rejoicing in doom. They were exalting their doomsday prophecies. By doing so shut up cities for God’s people from entering God’s plan and purposes in their life. They shut up nations from receiving God’s blessings and from evil being conquered. They’d say, “God has shown me there’s going to be an earthquake. God has shown me planes will crash.” But if God truly shows you these things, He will also show you the revival or
learnings from that or solutions to receive His blessings to overcome the evil that is to follow! You are called to prophesy the goodness of God that follows every evil attack of the enemy. That’s why we need true prophets. Not ones who only announce what the devil is planning, but ones who declare what God is about to do in response. Some say: “Brother, when I prayed for you, I saw a demon standing between you and me.” But a true servant of God is called to drive out that demon in the name of Jesus.
Not just to observe it and speak fear. Not to say, “Someone has done witchcraft,” or “You’ve sinned, and God is angry.” If it’s a real prophecy, tell them the exact sin, and also proclaim the grace and goodness of God that follows repentance. Just doomsday prophecies! They are not of God. Jericho was shut up because of these false prophets who delight in destruction of families, of blessings, of nations. Once, a man came and said to my father, Brother Dhinakaran: “You are rising too high. God has shown me you will fall. Be careful.” My father responded: “Brother, I’m already on the floor. Where more can I fall? I’ve already been beaten, spat upon, kicked. But even with all my wounds, the grace of God is still using me.” Never listen to doomsday prophets. Never be discouraged by them. Never become one of them. God is not a God of destruction, He is a God of mercy.
But what did Elisha say? “I know already. I know what you’re going to say.” Before you drive out demons, you must first drive out these doomsday prophets from your life, because they prophesy on behalf of the devil. We are called to prophesy Jesus. “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Revelation 19:10). Not the testimony of the devil. Not the plans of Satan, but the heart of God. May God give us this grace. This was the path to the double portion.
Persevere Till the End
Finally, Elijah said, “I am going to Jordan” and in Jordan, Elijah took his cloak and bet the waters and the waters open, and they crossed over. As Elijah crossed over with Elisha, Chariots of fire came and split both of them. Then a whirlwind came and took Elijah to heaven. But where did the Chariots of fire go? It surrounded Elisha. Elisha was surrounded by the Chariots of fire lifelong. That’s double portion. Many times we think Elijah went to heaven on the Chariots of fire but it was actually a whirlwind. That's what you read in second King 6:17. When the Syrian king, the Aram King, sent armies to arrest Elisha, He said, “Lord, open the eyes of my servant” and when his eyes were opened in Dothan, he saw Chariots of fire around Elisha. It surrounded the whole mountain, but it was around Elisha. There were Chariots of fire around him. When you cross the Jordan, Chariots of fire shall surround you. No wicked King, wicked government or wicked people can overcome you. The God of Elisha will blind their eyes, but you will lead them to the place of sanctification. This is the grace God is giving you. This is a double portion. If you read the life of Elijah, he never prayed for anything. He just said things into being as he was so close to God, anointed and connected with God. No weapon formed against him could prosper. He anointed kings and even the king of the enemy country. This should be the life of a prophet of God. You may be a nobody, but God says kings will acknowledge you as their father. They need a father to guide them, carry them. You may be a woman or a man, but you can be the representation to guide kings, nations, peoples and languages and usher in the Kingdom of God. Today, the double portion is coming upon you. Increase will come. Everything in the world will come. But along with that, the double portion of the Spirit of God will come upon you. Chariots of fire will surround you. May God give you every grace He has promised.
The Bethesda Special Blessing Meeting was held on 13th July 2025 at the Dr. D.G.S. Dr. Paul Dhinakaran delivered a prophetic word on receiving double blessings, quoting Zechariah 9:12, Joel 2:25–27, and Job 42:10. He emphasized that forgiving and praying for those who oppose us will lead us to inherit a double portion of blessings. Dear beloved friend, What a marvelous promise we find in Ezekiel 37:27! God Himself says, “My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be My people.” Another translation says, “I will make My home among them.” This verse doesn't just express God's presence. It reveals His deep desire to dwell with us and in our families. How glorious it is that the Almighty chooses to make our homes His very own dwelling place!
God’s Desire to Dwell Among Us
From the beginning, God's heart has been to dwell among His people. In the Old Testament, His presence rested in the tabernacle, a sacred space where the Israelites met with God. There, He walked with them, led them, and protected them. His presence was their greatest strength.
Today, we are blessed with something even greater. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:19, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” We no longer need a physical tabernacle. God now chooses to dwell within us: within our hearts and homes. When we welcome Him into our lives and our families, He fills us with His peace, unity, and purpose. His presence transforms our relationships, removes confusion, and restores brokenness. What a privilege it is to host the living God in our midst.
A Call to Holiness and Unity
Because God dwells in us, we must strive to live holy lives. The world often
encourages us to “believe in ourselves,” but as God’s children, we know we belong to Him. Our strength is not in self, but in the One who lives within us.
Habakkuk 1:13 reminds us, “Your eyes are too pure to look on evil.” If God is so holy that He cannot even look upon sin, how much more should we live pure and holy lives, especially as families called by His name?
When we dedicate our families to God, we open the door for His blessings. We must guard our homes against anything that grieves the Holy Spirit and instead cultivate an environment where God feels welcome through prayer, worship, and love.
Stay Connected to the Body of Christ
In today’s world, where ungodly influences are all around us, we need godly fellowship. This is why prayer groups and ministries like the Prayer Tower are so vital. When we surround ourselves with believers, we protect our spiritual health and grow stronger in faith.
In our family, we have experienced this

Let me share the testimony of a dear sister Vasantha from Chennai who experienced the transforming power of God’s presence. For years, her home was filled with strife as her husband struggled with alcohol addiction. Her
daughter was not blessed with a baby for 5 years. One day, she visited the Prayer Tower, surrendered her family to God, and began a life of regular prayer and devotion. Dear friend, Jesus is coming soon. Revelation 22:12 says, “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me.” Let us be ready both individu-ally and as families.

I was working as a manager in a private company and I was sincere in my work. Suddenly I developed a high fever that refused to go down despite multiple treatments and lasted for a whole month. I could barely walk and eventually, I was referred to a reputed hospital, where I was diagnosed with stage 4 Lymphoma cancer. The doctors bluntly told me, “You have only 15 days to live. Just enjoy the time you have left.”
Their words broke me. I wept bitterly and pleaded with them to treat me-for the sake of my little children. They agreed but warned, “You need 8 rounds of chemotherapy, but you won’t survive even two.” After the second chemo, I lay alone in the hospital room, crying out to the Lord for mercy. As I slept, I suddenly heard an audible voice say, “My son, this cancer will not kill you, but it will bring glory to My Name. You will serve Me.”
Strengthened by His voice, I completed all 8 rounds of chemotherapy and was completely healed. The doctors were shocked to see my recovery. As soon as I was discharged, I resigned from my job and started a small church with just five people in my house. I shared my testimony around the city of Ahmednagar every day.
But I was once again struck by a high fever and cold. I was mortally afraid. That’s when I heard about the Jesus Calls Prayer Festival happening in Ahmednagar. I attended the meeting, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran prophesied, “Vishwas, God touched you right now. His wisdom is coming upon you. The spirit of darkness, death, and fear is leaving. You will be a servant of God and become prosperous too.”
At that moment, the fever left me, and so did all my fears. I resumed ministry with fresh strength. Today, I pastor a church of over 750 people. Many cancer patients have been healed by the power of Jesus. The prophetic word came true. All glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Yes, this is the season of promise fulfillment. You may be carrying strong desires in your heart, praying, “Lord, it would be so wonderful if this could come to pass!” Let me assure you that God sees your heart. He sees your desires even now.
There was once a little girl who was shouting loudly in her bedroom, “God, give me a new cycle! Please give it to me now!” Her mother came rushing in and asked, “Why are you shouting, dear daughter? God can hear you. You don’t need to shout.” But the little girl replied innocently, “I know God can hear me, but you can’t. And unless you hear it, I won’t get the cycle!”
What a childlike faith! But we have a Father in heaven who hears, understands, and answers without delay. He’s not deaf to your
cry. He wants to give you His very best and put a smile on your face.
The Bible says in Psalm 20:4: "May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed."
What a loving thing it is for Jesus to come and look at our desires, both big and small and fulfill them!
LONG-TERM DESIRES
Maybe you’ve been holding on to a longing for a very long time. Perhaps you’re yearning for a broken relationship to be restored, longing for your father to return to the family, aching for healing from a persistent illness, or praying to start a new chapter in life through
marriage, studies, career. You may have even cried out, “Lord, how long?”
Today, place that desire into God’s hands. Tell Him, “Lord, I’ve tried everything to bring peace in my family, fix my situation, settle my marriage. But now, I surrender it to You.” Philippians 4:6 says:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
When you surrender your wish through prayer and petition, follow it with thanksgiving. Thanking God shows trust. You’re saying, “Lord, I know You’ve taken over. I’m no longer worried or burdened. Now it’s Your turn to act.” And truly, our Lord is mighty to fulfill it!
Even when you don’t see results right away, keep thanking Him. Behind the scenes, God is already working and arranging circumstances, preparing people, and lining up divine appointments.
LACK OF RESOURCES
You may feel discouraged and say, “Lord, I don’t even have the resources to make this happen. No money, no connections, no opportunities. How will it ever come true?”
Remember the boy who had only five loaves and two fish? He gave what little he had to Jesus. Jesus smiled, blessed it, and multiplied it to feed thousands. That is the power of faith!
Start with the little you have. Don’t wait for everything to be perfect. Use what God has already given you however small and take your first step. When you move in faith, God will add resource after resource at the right time.
LACK OF ABILITY
Sometimes you may say, “Lord, I don’t even
have the talent to fulfill this wish!” But here lies a secret: the Bible says Jesus was obedient to His earthly parents, and because of that, He grew in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). This reminds us that obedience brings growth.
God loves a heart that is aligned to His will. When your desires are rooted in God’s plan, joy will naturally flow. But if your wish is purely self-driven, you’ll have to strive hard to find joy on your own. Align your wish with the Father’s will and watch Him guide you toward fulfillment.
God may also use your parents or elders to guide your path. Sometimes what they say may contradict your personal desires, but staying obedient even when it’s tough brings long-term blessings. Sacrificing in the short term often results in greater rewards in the future. Obedience invites favor.
My dear friend, trust God. Give your wish into His hands, pray with faith, and give thanks even before it comes to pass. Do this not just once but consistently throughout this month.
This can be the month your desires begin to come true because God is faithful. He will not let you down. So pray, trust, obey, and give thanks. Watch how God brings your deepest desires to life.
“Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."
(I Corinthians 15:58)
We read clearly in the Bible that our God is the One, who created everything in the world, from nothing. In the life of Noah, who sought him faithfully, God increased him and his family, even in the state of destruction, by blessing them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth” (Genesis 9:1,7). Also, in Genesis 22:27, He blessed Abraham, when he was in lack and said, “blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants.” He fulfilled this in his life!
Dear ones! Today, you may be in lot of lacks and be troubled over those needs and wants. Shall we see what you should do to receive this blessing of increase and multiplication just as how men of God like Abraham and Noah received by holding on to the God of gods?
Be
Established in Faith (Colossians 2:7)
“This is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.” (I John 5:4)
“The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38; (Habakkuk 2:4).
“And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” (Matthew 21:22)
Abraham, who had no child, placed his entire faith on the Lord and the promise given by Him and was blessed with son Isaac at his old age (Romans 4:17-21). Similarly, Job, who had lost all the blessings in his family life, had whole hearted faith on the Lord saying, “When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10). We read in the Bible that as a result he received double fold blessings from the Lord (Job 42:10). In the days when the Lord Jesus Christ was on this earth, a woman, who had flow of blood for twelve years, came running to Him for deliverance. As we read in Mark 5:27,
she fully believed in her heart, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well” and immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction (Mark 5:29). The Lord also blessed her saying, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
Yes, dear ones! Even today, it is certain that those who place their trust and faith on the Lord and His Word would immediately receive His miracle and blessings in an abundant measure.
In the initial days of our family life, we were tested on all sides. In 1969, my husband’s both lungs were damaged. Day and night he suffered from severe cough and fever. One day, the doctor said, “Your husband is nearing death.” On hearing this, I went to my room, knelt down and lifted up my hand and cried out to the Lord. That time the Lord spoke to me and said, “Daughter, your husband will rise up and live.” I had the firm faith that the Lord would surely grant him complete healing since He had spoken to me. Since that day, I started to praise and thank the Lord with my whole heart. The Lord gradually delivered him from that dreadful disease, healed him miraculously and helped him to resume his job. As a result, my faith on the Lord grew and increased. After that, when the Jesus Calls ministry was developing, we face lot of sufferings and afflictions and the faith, which the Lord increased in us, gave us the grace to easily pass through those afflictions. Not only that it was also of great help for us to encourage other ministers of God, who were dejected as they went through similar hardships and sufferings.
Grace, Abounding through the Thanksgiving of Many
(II Corinthians 4:15)
We read in the Bible, “God of Israel,
enthroned in the praises of Israel” (Psalm 22:3) and “it is good and pleasant to sing praises to our God; praise is beautiful” (Psalm 147:1).
“You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.” (Joel 2:26)
Thus we read in the Bible! Accordingly, when we think of the wondrous ways in which the Lord is guiding us and thank Him for that, He will never put us to shame.
Both Paul and Silas, who were doing God’s ministry reverentially, went through a horrible path of affliction. Once, they were tormented and put in prison. Do you know what they did on that night of suffering? At midnight, instead of lamenting and wallowing over their unbearable suffering, they prayed to God and sang hymns to Him (Acts 16:25). The other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. The keeper of the prison, who saw this miracle, received salvation as a family on that night and accepted the Lord as their personal Saviour.
Dear ones, when you too pass through such afflictions, try to praise the Lord. Surely you shall see miracles.
In the initial days of my spiritual life, whenever I was alone, I used to kneel down, no matter what time it was, and sang praises to the Lord, from the depth of my heart. That time, the presence of God would fill me to the brim. I have enjoyed the experience of being filled with joy unspeakable.
David too had reverentially tasted this experience and that’s why he writes, ‘You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel’ (Psalm 22:3) and that ‘when we look up to the Lord always and praise Him at all times, our faces would be radiant and would not be ashamed’ (Psalm 34:5).
Dear ones, when you are driven to loneliness or when you languish in pain, start singing and praising the Lord with your whole heart. He will then turn all your sorrows into joy. The presence of God would fill you in an overflowing capacity. All your bondages would be broken and you shall see miracles.
Hope shall Abound by the Power of the Holy Spirit and He will fill you with joy and peace!
“Now may the God of hope, fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)
Dear ones, if your life is filled with Christ given joy and peace, what more do you need as a blessing? Today, because of lack of peace, many people end their lives, not knowing what to do. But the Bible says,
“The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” (Psalm 34:10)
How can we receive this and when? In the Book of Acts 2nd chapter, we read about the disciples, who were with Jesus, getting filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, as per His guidance. After this experience, they were empowered in their spiritual life, abounded in hope and lived like Jesus with godly zeal. Also they were of great comfort and blessing to many. About this we read in I Peter 1:8 that we would be filled with ‘joy inexpressible and full of glory’
When were they filled with this divine power?
“These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.” (Acts 1:14)
The same could be read in Acts 2:1. The Bible says that they were all filled with power and glory, like Jesus (Acts 2:4).
This is how the Jesus Calls ministry was born. You should also gather as a family or as women or as youngsters and wait in the presence of God, in prayer. The Lord will fill you also with the power of His Holy Spirit and manifest His glory through you. He will make you increase in His works, individually and as a family and bless you. Also He would make many others to receive abundant blessings through you.
