Camera raw + select and mask

Objective:

For this assignment, I changed the hair color on the people I photographed the background for some.

Operation for hair:

I started by using the object selection tool to select the hair. I then went into the selection and mask window to refine my mask by adding in more hair or refining the edges around the hair using the refine edge tool.

Operation for background:

To change the backgrounds, I copied the mask and filled in the areas I still wanted to be a part of it such as the face and shoulders. Afterwards, I copied and pasted a background I wanted.

Sculpture texture

Objective

For this assignment, I added various textures to the sculpture of my choosing.

Operation:

I looked up an image of a texture of my choosing and copied and pasted it into photoshop. Afterwards, I would go over a specific area and I would make a mask of it with the polygonal lasso tool. I would unlink the mask and the image so I could work with it better. I warped it to make it look more realistic and then blended it in the layers window with multiply or overlay. Lastly, I added an adjustment layer and changed the hue and saturation.

Bonus retouch

Objective:

For this project, I retouched an image using tools to fix imperfections, such as the healing tool and spot healing tool.

Operation:

i went into the image and tried out various tools to remove some of the jewels on the persons face

Objective:

For this assignment, I tried to cover the door in the image with bricks.

Operation:

I used the clone stamp tool and went in a line from the beginning of the section to the center and repeated that on the opposite side. Afterwards, I used the brush tool to draw my name and a heart. I used the FX layer and blend modes to make it look more natural.

Logo design

Description

For this assignment, I was tasked with making my own logo.

Operation:

I began by sketching out a logo design. I uploaded the image to Illustrator and made it a template layer. I made another layer to outline the words and small designs. Once I finished that, I added a fill color and decided to do a gradient. I wanted the gradient for my main one on the words to go from green to blue. For the drinks, I made the gradient go from purple to pink. Then, I added a stroke effect.

Objective:

For this assignemnt, I created various tpyes of ads for my own ice cream shop.

Operation:

I made five separate art boards of different dimensions. Afterwards, I added a logo I made. I went on Google to find different images of ice cream and went on photoshop to make the backgrounds transparent. I placed each image on the art boards where I wanted them. I also added texts such as a slogan, flavors, hours of operation, address, and a phone number. Finally, using the “alt” button, I copied and pasted the elements I wanted for each individual ad.

Description

For this assignment, I was tasked with making my own movie poster

Operation: I began by making the title in illustrator using the fonts there. Then, I copied each image into photoshop and made them have a transparent background. I placed those images into my indesign file. I made the characters the foreground and the book the background. Finally, I added text in in design using the text tool. I added some quotes, the actors names, and a fake release date.

Description

For this assignment, I was tasked with making my own trifold brochure

Operation:

I started off by making three columns in an InDesign file with high bleed lines so I could add in fold marks. Afterwards, I copied the page to have two. I edited various photos in Photoshop form the company’s website to make them transparent. I placed each image where I wanted them in my Indesign file. I also added typography with two different, but similar fonts. I made my own logo in Illustrator using a screenshot of the Earth as a template.

Misfits

Operation:

I began by making a 12 page spread in InDesign. Next, I designed a logo and some other small designs for the page numbers. I created a parent page for each section of my magazine and added rectangular frames and text boxes to plan out my designs. Afterwards, I went into photoshop to either make the background transparent or crop the images I was using. I placed the images and placeholder text into their corresponding boxes. Finally, I reorganized it to my liking.
