REFLECTION My Thoughts

Throughthisassignment,wehadtheopportunity to explore three main topics: the Architects Act, Contract & Management, and UBBL. Each of thesetopicshasitsownsubtopics,andourgroup chose to focus on Forms of Practice, which falls undertheArchitectsAct.Duringthisexploration,I gained an understanding of the three primary forms of practice in the interior design and architecturefieldinMalaysia:soleproprietorship, partnership, and body corporate. I also learned about the various rules and regulations associated with each form of practice, as they each have their own specific requirements. Additionally, I discovered that each practice operatesunderadifferentbusinessmodel. Inourassignment,mygroupalsodelvedintothe potential outcomes of future practices for interior design and architecture firms. We discussed the incorporation of modern practices into our organizational culture, ecosystem, and workingenvironment.
