JESSICA JONES CV
Architectural Interests
In my final year at University, I joined the Praxxis atelier, a pivotal choice that significantly shaped my architectural perspective.
My studio project delved into urban design, re-imagining Le Corbusier’s Radiant City as the site. I critically examined the inaccessibility of the site and de-constructed the hierarchical zones, creating a more integrated cityscape that transcends traditional boundaries.
My design ethos is based on the belief that architecture wields its greatest influence when it considers the diversity of its users, prioritising those often marginalised.
My degree has fortified my commitment to architectural innovation, placing people at its core and channelling the power of design to facilitate meaningful societal change, valuing equity, inclusivity, and fabric-first design approaches.

Personal Profile
I am a hard-working, creative and kind person. I’m sociable and I enjoy spending time with family, friends and meeting new people.
For over 12 years I have been a competitive all-star cheerleader, now coaching children at a local squad. I have gained some valuable skills here such as leadership, adaptability and problem solving. For example, needing to develop creative solutions to adjust routines and strategies based on team strengths and limitations. I also love to motivate and inspire athletes to excel, boosting their self-confidence. I enjoy utilising my creativity in different ways. In 2018, I set up my own freelancing portraiture business, providing high-quality, custom-made pets and people portraits. I believe my attention to detail and appreciation for form and aesthetics contributes to my overall identity as a designer.
In my spare time, I also volunteer for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer charity, working at children’s events, running stalls and assisting with face painting. This is a rewarding experience and I look forward to working with them again at their next event.
