Fear

When thinking about possible ideas for a new painting, I was interested in doing a close up portrait. It was hard for me to decide on who or what I wanted to paint. I came across this picture of a young boy that immediately captivated my attention. I was drawn in by his eyes as they depicted innocence as well as hardship.

Depression season

This drawing was created with the intention of displaying the ways mental health can affect a person ' s ability to do simple tasks such as keeping their room clean. Oftentimes when someone is struggling with a mental illness such as depression, something as simple as cleaning their dirty dishes from their room can seem like such a debilitating task.

Souless

It is said that the eyes are the windows to the soul.

When you look into someone’s eyes, you can see bit into their life experiences and struggles. When looking into the eyes of this old man it is quite obvious as to how much of a hard life he has lived.

A piece of Cake

In this painting, with the usage of colors as well as detail, the main focal point is the child eating a piece of cake. I wanted this painting to demonstrate the willingness and sacrifices that families have to make in order to support the youngest.

Tangled “I

cant breath”

This painting demonstrates the effects that pollution has on animals as the bird is trapped in a plastic bag. One of the greatest challenges that we face today is global warming which is caused by many factors, one of them being plastic pollution.

The light that shines through

I wanted to create a mirrorball that displays light in a pattern on a wall. The ping pong ball represent the emotional walls a person may build during their life time. The holes represent the hardships that have faced causing cracks in the wall. The light shining through displays that even though a person may struggle, that their struggles can turn into life lessons which can be something beautiful.

Is it lonlieness

If I were to create a mediating element for when moving into a new city, it would be an arm band that helps combat loneliness. Oftentimes, one of the first things we feel when moving away from our loved ones is loneliness and helplessness.

Is it loneliness part two

This drawing was made to display the arm band in action. The colour of the light the arm band emits represents you personality type, making it easeir to find people you can relate to.

The Spider

This a 3D structure that takes form of a spider. There are many entrances, eight to be specific through each of the spiders leg. Each of the entrances lead to the centre of the spider. This demonstrates how in life, while some paths may lead us to dead ends, there will always be another path that leads us to our desired destination
