SERVANT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Africa has known both tribal and colonial leadership. But we believe that Africa deserves better. That’s why we are passionate about developing servant leaders in the African Church and community. We train Christian leaders who focus on the wellbeing of the whole community, who unite people and provide opportunity for growth: spiritually, socially, and economically. Imagine communities and nations led by Christian leaders who see themselves as servants, accountable to their people and accountable to God. Leaders who empower and allow people to dream of a better future together.

2017 HIGHLIGHTS 50 Pastors and church leaders in Sudan began training in a specially designed Pastoral Leadership Training Institute (PLTI), in partnership with a local organization, where they are being prepared to minister faithfully in a majority-Muslim context.

76 Men and women graduated from ALARM Congo’s Pastoral and Women’s Leadership Training Institutes despite the violent conflicts and increasing political unrest. Together, these leaders trained more than 4,000 individuals in their churches and communities using the knowledge they gained from ALARM.

80 Tanzanian pastors and their wives participated in a family enrichment training where they received a biblical foundation in marriage and parenting and were equipped to help restore broken families in their churches and communities.

42 Women from different tribes and denominations graduated from ALARM Uganda’s Women’s Leadership Training Institute (WLTI).

WE SAY “LEADERSHIP MATTERS,” AND WE TRULY BELIEVE IT.

We understand that true transformation and nation-building will not last without leaders who fear God, love their neighbors, and respect human dignity.

That’s why ALARM is committed to breaking through tribalism and denominationalism while also building trust and unity among Christian leaders within the African Church and community.

We envision a biblical Christianity replacing a tribal Christianity that has failed in the face of genocide, corruption, poverty, and injustice. The crisis of Africa is a leadership crisis, and we are responding.

ALARM is empowering the African Church to be an agent of forgiveness and reconciliation in African communities, because after God reconciled us to himself through Christ, he committed to us the ministry and message of reconciliation in a world of brokenness (2 Corinthians 5:17-19).
