About Me.....

Hey! My name is Jesse Orakpo, and I am currently a junior at Thomas Jefferson University. I grew up in Nigeria, and from a young age, I had a passion for creating and building things. Illustrating the cartoons I watched and playing with LEGOS helped me develop a creative outlet that served as the cornerstone of my childhood years. In high school, I had a love for geometry and mathematics, and this helped me enhance my technical drawing skills. I recently transferred from the University of Lagos, where I was majoring in Architecture. As an architecture student, I have learnt how to use my hands, not just as drawing tools, but as a means of communicating creative concepts and ideas as to how the built environment is and can be. The world we live in is ever changing and the world of design is not exclusive. I plan to bring about positive changes with my designs and use my ideas to further develop the meaning of "architecture".

In my spare time, I like sketching, reading novels, and playing the keyboard. Recently, I am learning how to cook different kinds of dishes, and I enjoy exploring the streets of Philadelphia with friends and family.
