A warm welcome
Dear Parents,
Thank you for choosing a JESS education for your child.
Being happy at school is what we all want for our children; fitting in and feeling part of the school community is important. Wearing the right uniform for school and sport helps to develop this sense of belonging.
Our team has carefully selected these items to reflect the needs of all our students and hope that they will wear them with pride.

Our uniform provider is Stitches LLC and the hoodie, sportswear and swimwear provider is J20 Sports

How and where to buy our uniform
The JESS uniform is available to purchase in-store at Stitches located in Al Quoz Industrial Area 2. It is also possible to order online although it would be advisable to visit the store at least once to ensure you have selected the correct size.
JESS Hoodies
Hoodies are compulsory for Y7 to Y11 students. Hoodies have the JESS Dubai logo not the JESS logo allowing the hoodies to be worm for many different trips and sports. Hoodies can be personalised with up to 3 initials
Hoodies are optional for FS1-Y6 and can only be worn during PE lessons.
Hoodies can be purchased online from www.j20sports.com. We are not able to offer size samples of the hoodies at our receptions. However, all sizes and measurements are clearly displayed on the J20 Sports website All communication regarding orders, delivery, exchange, returns and collection will come from J20sports.
JESS Sportswear and Swimwear

Uniform Guidelines
We pride ourselves on the appearance of all those who attend JESS. The school implements a dress code which is designed with the climate and comfort in mind All students are encouraged to take care in their personal appearance and wear the full uniform at all times. Only items from our designated suppliers should be worn –Stitches (Uniform) and J20 (PE kit) and uniform items must be named
Primary (FS1 to Year 6)
Hair
Jewelry / Religious Jewelry
Hair below the shoulder must be tied back. No extreme haircuts, shaved lines or shorter than a number 2 cut, no coloured braids/plaits or dyed hair is permitted. Hair should be neat, even and tidy.
Hair accessories should be white, navy or black.
A watch (smart watches are not permitted).
One pair of plain, small stud earrings (no hoops or rings permitted) but not on PE or swimming days.
Religious Jewelry
Students who wish to wear religious jewelry as part of their faith must submit a written request to the Head Teacher seeking permission. Each request will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and exceptions may be granted in certain circumstances. Approved items must be discreet and worn in a manner that does not compromise safety or the school’s uniform standards.
Make-up and nail polish
No make-up or nail polish is allowed.
Shoes School shoes should be black (matt) leather with a solid heel of less than 4cm. Please note that ballerina style pumps, black trainers or canvas shoes are not acceptable. Students arriving at school in sports named footwear will be asked to purchase the correct footwear. This will then be an additional expense.
School Bags
Students may bring a rucksack style bag to school to carry their items for the day. Trolley bags are not permitted.
Sports Teams If selected for a sports team, students are expected to purchase the JESS team kit. This applies to those chosen for football, rugby, netball and athletics teams. All team kits are available to purchase online from J20 Sports. Please do not purchase a team kit until directed by the team coach. JESS Hoodies can be worn during PE.
