Architectural Graphics: Paraline and Perspective Drawings

Objective:

Learn how to convey all sides of a building in 3D with paraline drawing (oblique and axonometric) while retaining its scale and develop familiarity with the three dimensional axes.

Perspective drawing: be more accustomed to the three axes relative to 3D projection.

Reflection:

I truly like these three assignments because I like drawing in perspective and the end result looks really satisfying. I’m starting to appreciate the different line weights of pencils as it helps create focus on the main object. I definitely still have room for improvements with how I handle drawing lines, I should be able to prevent lines from intersecting with each other and present the object as close to reality as possible.

6C-6D: Tiny HouseFloor Plan and Section

Objective:

Using architectural graphic tools, create a floor plan that best reflects the design and organization of the tiny house. Create a section that best provides the relationship of the space and user(s).

Reflection:

I am somewhat satisfied with this, because due to the restrictions of parameters, it was difficult to design a space free from weird furniture placements and weird orientation around the house, but I still like how it turned out because I added the indented living area/ couches– which is one of the things that I’ve always wanted in my house. I do believe there is still a lot of improvements to be made in terms of being creative with the design and the drawing quality.

7A: Tiny House Drawing Revision

Objective: Look back and reflect for any room of improvements and/ or mistakes and makes corrections.

Reflection:

I learned no matter how much you like your design and the attention you give it, there will always be room for improvements or there will be areas of it that lacked attention, like how my wall between the bathroom and the common space was left unshaded, but has now been fixed thanks to the revision of others. I realized that my design is basic and would need to expand my horizon– discover other styles, architects, themes, and so much more!
