We all have an idea of what prison life is like but do we genuinely understand how it feels to be shut off from the rest of the world behind high security fences and barbed wire?

Told through the images taken by prisoners and guards alike, Shared Light tells the story of H Wing, the women’s section of La Moye Prison. Four female prisoners and four guards share their thoughts and reflections of prison life.

A project that offers real insights into what happens behind the high walls of La Moye.

Celebrating the work of our Community Christmas Company

FRIDAY 8 DECEMBER - SATURDAY 6 JANUARY

Reminisce as Jersey Arts Centre presents a nostalgic retrospective of photographs, publicity material, props and costumes from our eight magical Christmas Shows! This celebration of the work of Jersey Arts Centre’s Community Christmas Company will feature pieces from Arabian Nights (2016), The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2017), The Wind in the Willows (2018), A Christmas Carol (2019), My Family and Other Animals (2020), Swallows and Amazons (2021), Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass (2022), and this year’s show, The Sound of Music. Be transported to magical lands, English summers, Victorian London, the island of Corfu and many other extraordinary places in this fantastical exhibition!
