I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

II Timothy 4:7-8

~Expressions of Gratitude ~

A friendly smile, a casual touch, a kind expression...These are the things that mean so much. To know you are with us in our time of sorrow, sharing our prayers, today and tomorrow. God gives us the comfort in the form of family and good friends. May His peace be with you because His love never ends.

I Made It Home

I just wanted to let you know I made it home.

Everything is so pretty here, so white, so fresh, so new. I wish that you could close your eyes so you could see it too.

Please try not to be sad for me. Try to understand. God is taking care of me... I’m in the shelter of His hands.

Here there is no sadness, and no sorrow, and no pain. Here there is no crying, and I’ll never hurt again.

Here it is so peaceful, when all the angels sing. I really have to go now... I’ve just got to try my wings.

PS.....I’ll be the first face you see when you get here!

A Lifetime of Love & Laughter

To have had Vance McKinney as a father is to know love and laughter. His love and memory will remain in our hearts and spirits forever-gently urging us to pursue our dreams. It was our priviledge and blessing to have had him as a father. We praise and thank God for him. Many of you know that our Dad was a hard worker, but what many of you may not have known is that He was a generous person too. He gave unselfishly to those in need.

Some of our most memorable moments we had was sitting talking with our Dad while he watched golf and about him playing golf. His light heartedness always kept everyone laughing and their spirits lifted.

We are grateful for all the times we shared with him. Thank you Dad, for the love, memories, and laughter. You will be missed dearly.

I’m Taking My Rest

Don’t weep for me dear loved one, for I’ve departed to take my rest. I know that you loved me dearly, but my Father loved me best. He has taken me from life’s sufferings, to a place where I’ll have no more pain. And has given me hope that in the rapture, I’ll unite with each one of you again. Be strong and live for Jesus, take heed to the words that you hear. Live holy and love one another, don’t sorrow at my home going, for only the Father knows what is best. For I’ve finished my earthly assignment, now I’m taking my rest.
