Tyerell Dyshaun Jones

yerell Dyshaun Jones was born in Memphis, TN, on February 16, 2005, to Natasha Nickson and Terrell Jones.

He was a freshman at Melrose High School, where he was a proud “Golden Wildcat.” Tyerell loved sports and was very active. He enjoyed playing basketball and football. In football, he played “left cornerback” and “safety.” He also ran track. When Tyerell wasn’t spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly, he enjoyed listening to music too.

Tyerell leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Natasha Nickson; his father, Terrell Jones; and his bonus father, Demetriss Conley. He also leaves two brothers, Demetriss Conley, Jr. and Traveon Jones; a sister, Yazmin Conley. His three grandmothers, Brenda Grandberry, Marilyn Helms, and Shawanna Pye will greatly miss him, along with his grandfather, Lavon Jones, and a host of other relatives and friends.

“On February 16, 2005, I became a big sister and a second mother. You’re my right hand, half of my heart, my baby boy, and my baby brother. Who would’ve thought I would only have 15 years with you? I’m broken for me to know that I won’t hear your voice anymore kills me. I promise to accomplish all of my goals and dreams. Watch over us “Bull” and wrap your arms around me. Promise me every time I sing, you’ll sit on my bed with me!”

“Every since you left me nothing has been the same, everything just changed. Knowing I’ll never be able to play football with you nomo. It hurts knowing that you are gone, but I’ve got Ma and Yaz. yerell DyShaun Jones, you were my brother, my best friend, my favorite cousin, my ride or die, my “day.”

It will never be the same without you because I’m so used to you being right beside me...”everywhere I would go” and in “everything I did.” This has really left a cold and dark spot in my heart. Every day I ask myself, why so early did you have to go? Sometimes I picture your face in the sky, and that makes me feel better, just knowing that you are in God’s hand. I’ll never get to act crazy, skip class, play football, play basketball for fun, or hawk people in track, and then you’d pass me the stick to finish the people off on the 4 by 4 and the 4 by 2.

It’s crazy because I, you, and Jermaine were talking about this being our year for track and football. When you see me, you see Bull, and when you see Bull, after all this, I never thought that I would be putting my baby brother on a “shirt.” jumped somebody because somebody made a mistake and hit you with a hula hoop.

I had to help because I didn’t want a whipping.
