Tony Earl Potts was born April 29, 1972, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Robert Earl Hamilton and the late Mattie Mae Potts. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Peters Rock Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Aaron Jones.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Bertha Jean Potts, and his stepfather, Tommy Lee Cathey, Sr.
Tony Earl Potts leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Taylynn LaFaye Bowling-Potts, his brothers, Sidney Lee Young, James Price, Thaddeus Jones (Lashanda) and Derrick Jones, his sisters, Joyce Ann Horton (Aundra), Linda LaFaye Potts, and April Jones, one uncle, Nathaniel Young, Sr., two aunts, Mary Jones and Ruth Mae Taylor, and Godmother, Vernita Mayfield, five nieces, eighteen great-nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
