I Love You, Mom Love Ashley

Mom, I’d be lying if I said that I’m not sad to see you go, but I know you fought long and hard to help prepare us for this day. That just shows how selfless you really were, always putting others before yourself. Always pouring love and positive energy into the world. With a smile and beautiful spirit that has touched so many lives. Thank you for always being the kind loving encouraging mother that had the patience to teach through gentle words and provide unconditional love and understanding. Thank you for being my safe haven in such a cruel world.

There are no words that can truly express the loss I feel. I try to find solace in the fact that you are no longer in pain, and you left me two mini versions of you. Even though I’m missing you. I thank God he sent us an Angel on earth and now you are with him.

I Love You Jevon

To My Grandma

My grandma was the best and always cared for me. She loved sports and time with her family. She was beautiful, kind, and loving. She is resting now, but I’ll see her again. I know she is happy and not sad. She is always in my heart. I will never forget her. I love her with all my heart.

REMEMBERING SOPHIA...

Sophia L Waller

Friday, June 26, 2020

, on October 21, 1954, God blessed the world and the city of Catherine, Alabama with an angel by the name of Sophia L. Waller. She was the daughter of late Climmie Leshure Hudson and the late George Hudson. Sophia Waller graduated from Pine Hill Consolidated in 1973. At an early age, Sophia accepted the care of Christ at Salem Baptist Church where she was an active member. She remained an avid churchgoer at House of Prayer until she could no longer physically attend. The life and beautiful spirit of Sophia was a blessing to everyone she encountered. Her journey in life guided her to Hartford, Connecticut where she started her family and pursued her career as an executive assistant at the State of Connecticut Library where she worked for 18 years before relocating to Memphis, TN, and later retiring from State Technical College. Sophia dedicated her life to her children and career. Sophia always found a way to put someone else’s needs before her own. She found much joy spreading her wisdom, generosity, and love. She loved to partake in many activities, and was an extraordinary softball player and loved needlepoint projects. She also would like to bowl anytime she got a chance which led to many championships wins. Not to mention she was born with a green thumb, she could take any plant that was damaged and restore it. She loved an array of activities. On Friday, June 26, 2020, Sophia’s earthly mission was completed and she was called home by our Heavenly Father to the grand reunion. She is reunited with her parents Climmie and George Hudson. She leaves to cherish her memory her former husband Jerone Waller, two children, Jerone and Ashley Waller, two grandchildren Daniel Waller and Matilyn Whitfield, one great-grandchild Harmony Waller, three sisters Shirley Ratcliff (Pine Hill, AL), Julie Lucy (Bloomfield, CT), Bertha (Catherine, AL) Boykin two brothers Ethel Bert Boykin (Birmingham, AL), Joseph Boykin, one uncle Issac Leshure (Danbury, CT), one aunt Lillian Lee (Danbury, CT) and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I’ve found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life’s been full, I savoured much, Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch,

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
