Life’s Reflections

hirley Ann Davis was born on January 22, 1950, to Mrs. Effie R. Williams of Memphis, Tennessee.

Shirley departed this life on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Spring Gate Hospice. Preceding her in death, her sisters, Jo Ann Williams and Margo Williams and her brother Michael Williams, grandparents, Addie B. Miller and Odell Miller.

Shirley confessed her life to Christ at an early age at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.

Shirley was a graduate of Manassas High School Class of 1968. She married Andre K. Davis after graduating from High School. She was employed by Humko for many years until she later retired.

On October 29, 1979, she gave birth to her only child, DeAndrea K. Davis, who she continued to love and support until her death. She later gained custody of her only niece, Erika N. Evans, and raised her like she was her own daughter.

Shirley leaves to cherish her mother, Effie R. Williams, her daughters, DeAndrea K. Davis (Paul McKinney), Erika N. Evans, one brother, Rickey E. Williams (Margo Williams), five grandchildren, DeAndre J. Davis, DeAndre J. Davis, DeVonte R. Davis, Marreco L. Jones, Jr., and Kareem O. Partee, Jr., one nephew, Rickey E. Williams, II, and a host of very special cousins, family, and friends.

od saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with Me.”

With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer and saw you fade away.
