The Legacy of Shirley Ann Carter
Youknow I could have wrote about where I was born, who I was born to, where I attended school, how many children I had - my whole family history. But oh no, today is just Missionary Shirley Carter Day. Because I made preparations for this day long ago when I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Oh what a day of rejoicing that will come to be when all God’s children get together. Once I established a relationship with God and studying God’s word, he taught me how to live a saved life, to raise my kids in a Christian way and love the Lord God with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all my mind. I tried to instill this in my family: to live right, love thy neighbors as yourself, pay your bills, and put you some money up when you need a little help so you will have a go-to nest egg.
I leave to cherish my memory; my children, Sonjia Glenn, Tara Harris, aunt, Pearlie Mae and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
I am preceded in death by; my husband, Harry Carter, aunts; Georgia Mae,Robbie Lee and Mattie Mae and one uncle; Jimmy.

Change of Address for
Missionary Shirley Ann Carter
November 2, 1945 ~ January 2, 2026
Please be advised that I have moved. I received a call the other day from God and He informed me that my new home was complete. I know that my mansion needed some finishing touches and that The Father had to inspect it and give me the final approval.
On Friday, January 2, 2026, He let me know that my mansion was finally complete, and I could move in right away.
He told me to go ahead and change my address. Let me tell you that my new home is finished, and what a sight to behold. It is located in an exclusive estate area behind the pearly gates and surrounded by a beautiful lake; it’s beautiful. I couldn’t believe it until now that I am also proudly and happily living down the street from all of my loved ones. It is truly an honor to be back with them again, for I have missed them more than words can ever express. Oh, Father, what a heavenly and joyous day this truly is. As you know, the roads are paved with gold, and every day is Sunday, just like you have been told. The trees of fruit grace my garden here, and I can walk and talk with the Master without any worries or cares.
Please, My Dear Loved Ones, there is no need to cry or be sad any longer, for I want you to celebrate my homegoing because there is now true peace, happiness, and joy here, and of course, there is no more pain or heartache, no strife or discontent, only sweet serenity... you don’t have to worry about me anymore, for I am now with The Lord.
I am sitting at the Master’s bountiful table, listening to a Heavenly choir, and having a good time. And best of all, my Heavenly Father is here in all His glory.
I also have a designer who has fitted me with my white robe and wings. I could go on and on about my new home, but instead, I am going to pray that you will get to move here yourself one day.

Just remember that we are never far away and that we are always with you, for we are just a heartbeat away; just look into your hearts and look up to heaven.
