Sandolyn Denise Merrill was born January 12, 1983. She was the firstborn of Stephanie Cowan and Sanford Merrill.

Sandolyn was a graduate of Hamilton High School Class of 2001.

She was baptized at a very early age under the leadership of Reverend U. Purdy and the development and mentorship of her grandmother Annie Belle Norton who proceeded her in death. Sandolyn furthered her Christian walk by joining Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church.

Early in her life, Sandolyn suffered health challenges that she battled up until her death, October 3, 2017. She was a fighter and despite her medical condition she never once complained.

Sandolyn leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Stephanie Cowan; father, Sanford Merrill; grandmother, Constance Merrill; two sisters, Misha Boyd (Demetrius) of Memphis, Tennessee; Shelbra Hairston (Brian) of Huntsville, Alabama; nephew, Devin Boyd and niece, Dee Boyd of Memphis, Tennessee; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family would like to extend our deepest appreciation for all the flowers, cards, thoughts and prayers petitions to the throne of God during Sandolyn’s hospital stay and passing away of our loved one. Words can’t express our gratitude.

We were blessed to have such an inspiration, loving daughter, sister, aunt, and niece. Sandolyn Denise Merrill touched so many lives and will truly be missed. There will be a meeting in heaven if you love and serve the Lord like Sandolyn.
