Life’s Reflections

Roy Langdon Morgan, age 85, of Charleston, Missouri, departed this life on June 18, 2026.

Roy was born on July 28, 1940, in Tunica, Mississippi, to the late Rev. John K. Morgan and Fannie L. Morgan. He lived a life marked by love for his family, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the relationships he built throughout the years.

Roy later became the proud father of twin daughters, Jocelyn Morgan-Jackson (David) and Jennifer Webb (Marcus), and Leslie Morgan (Najeebah). His grandchildren also survive him, Jeffrey Morgan, Jeremy Morgan, Janel Davis, Darriell Stewart, Trevon Jackson, Jalyiah Davis, Daylin Jackson, Jayden Jackson, Lesley Morgan, Aaliyah Morgan, Armani Morgan, Lyric Morgan; six great-grandchildren, one of whom preceded him in death; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Roy L. Morgan proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1965 - 1985. During his military career, he attained the ranks of Sergeant First Class, MP (Military Police), and Aircraft Maintenance Senior Sergeant. Roy was then honorably discharged in 1985. He remained deeply proud of his military service and accomplishments throughout his life. He then went on to work for the V. A. Roy’s legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the family he loved. He will be remembered for his strength, wisdom, and the lasting impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him.
