Recessional
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

The moment you left us, our hearts split in two. One side filled with memories, the other went away with you. Your laughter, your wisdom, your strength---They are pillars of our life.
In moments of joy and sorrow, you’ve been our rock, our confidant, our guiding light. Your presence was a treasure we cherished dearly, and in your absence, we feel a void that only your love can fill. Though words may fail to express the depth of our affection, let them serve as a testament to the bond we shared -------a bond unbreakable, forged in the fires of family and bound by the threads of love. Until we meet again, know that you are missed, You are loved, and you are always in our thoughts.
With all our love, Norma, Libby, Jonathan, Justin, and Brian

“Who’s Your Favorite Uncle?”

You always asked us, smiling widely
“Who’s your favorite uncle?” full of pride. We’d laugh it off, joke, tease and stall
Never knowing that day would come for us to call. So now we answer, clear and true With loving hearts, we speak to you.
Of all the uncles, near and far It was always you, just as you are. Your laughter lives, your love remains In cherished memories, joy and pains. Rest peacefully for your work is done.
Our favorite uncle, forever one.
Love “Your Children”

Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent those beautiful flowers that we saw sitting there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say. Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts we thank you so much for whatever part. Special thanks to BMBC & The Entire Staff, Quentin Cooper, Rosalyn Harris, Jemesha House, and Malita Washington who all assisted in Rod’s care.
