RaymondC. Rayford was born in Byhalia, Ms on March 30, 1952, to the late Charlie Jr and Willie Bertha Rayford.
Raymond was a 1971 graduate of Hamilton High School. He went on study at State Tech Institute and Moore Technical school where these skills were further honed at International Harvester for 19 years. Afterward, he became a dedicated driver and employee of Bluff City Transfer Storage Company until his retirement. Raymond loved life, enjoyed humor, was a self-made comedian, and claimed himself the best domino player in Memphis and loved his family.
He confessed his hope in Christ at an early age at Norris Avenue Missionary Baptist Church where he later joined Nichols Chapel CME, Byhalia, MS where he served as a faithful Trustee, Sunday school member, Usher, and Chariman of the Steward Board until his failing health. He was always in support of his church even when he wasn’t able to attend.
Raymond always said that he lived his life with few regrets and that he lived his life just the way he enjoyed it.
He leaves to cherish precious memories to his loving wife Lillie B. Rayford, one son Patrick C. Rayford, two grandsons Patrick Rayford Jr, and Avery Perry of Oklahoma City, OK, two granddaughters Chloe and Skye Rayford, two brothers Willie C. (Von) and Daniel L. Rayford, three sisters Donna Rayford-Holmes, Bonnie Rayford, and Sharon RayfordJones(Brian), two sisters-in-law, Eva Mae Little and Velma Olden (William), two aunts of Indianapolis, IN, Ruth Summer and Tillie Malone, a special cousin, David Malone of Atlanta,Ga and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
