Dad, you have been my Johnny on the Spot since my momma passed. You have been a worrisome, off the wall crazy, over protective, and sometimes too sentimental dad. You have been a comedian, an encourager, a motivator, and an overall good dude. But most of all you have been a FRIEND, someone to share what I’m feeling, someone who can identify with what I’m thinking; And a person whose logic is undeniable! (lol). These are all characteristics that I need in a DAD. Thank you for delivering my seed to life, blessing me with my good looks, my sweet yet strong heart, my sense of humor, and though you wont admit it, my serious level of intelligence. My best friend, everything that you represented and the love you showed me, made up a portion of my heart. Having laughter was more than just something you made happen, it was a lifestyle of “retardedness”. There was always something to learn. The last thing that you told me was “Dreams only come to those who sleep!” And even though you are resting in peace, you are still awake in my heart. You are the greatest grandfather I could have ever asked for. I will love you always.
