Broken Chain
Little did we know that day that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly; in death, we will do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, and you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love still our guide. And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Reflections of Life
Mae Frances Mackey Houston was the third child born to the late Mrs. Eddie and Pearline Davenport. Mae was born on May 18, 1942, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mae was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and attended State Technical Institute.
Mae accepted Christ at an early age at Tree of Life M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. W.P. Scott.
Mae was employed and retired Assistant Maintenance Buyer from Hershey Co. of 27 years. Mae enjoyed singing and cooking, shopping, and spending time with her children.
On Thursday, April 20, 2017, at 10:47 p.m. Mae departed from this earthly vessel to live eternally in the presence of our Lord.
Mae preceded in death by her father and mother, Eddie and Pearline Davenport, sister Mildred Goins, sister Lucy Mae Davenport, brother Clifton Davenport, grandson Darryl McClinton, great granddaughter Ariel McClinton and brother in law Sam Lester Turner.
Mae is survived by six children, Pearline Mackey Washington (Bebly) of Olive Branch, Mississippi., Patricia McClinton Harris (Eddie Lee) of Memphis, Tennessee., Jacqueline D. McClinton of Memphis, Tennessee, M.C. McClinton, Jr., (Annie) of Memphis, Tennessee, Antonio M. McClinton of Memphis, Tennessee, Issac Mackey, III of Memphis, Tennessee, Four sisters, Forestine Hewitt, Evelyn Hughes, Fannie Harris and Stella Turner of Memphis, Tennessee., two brothers, Eddie Davenport (Barbara), Lucious Davenport (Cassandra), twenty grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
