Laketta
Lashundra Williams was born on December 29, 1982, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Gloria Jean Williams and Robert Fleming. She attended Bruce Elementary, Bellevue Junior High, and Melrose High School. She was called home to be reunited with her mother, Gloria Jean Williams, on July 29, 2023.
Laketta gave her life to Christ at the age of 11 at Greater Imani Christian Church under the leadership of Apostle Bill Atkins.
Laketta was always the life of the party whenever she came around. Laketta always made others laugh, and her impersonation of others was always funny and top-notch.
Laketta was full of laughter and always wanted to go to family functions with her brother, Travis “Rabbit” Williams, to be silly and goofy together. You saw one; you saw the other; people sometimes thought they were twins. Laketta had a big heart and always helped others when it wasn’t in her spirit to help; she always found a way to do so, even if she didn’t want to.
Laketta’s hobbies were always partying, getting her nails and hair done, making others laugh, dance, etc. Even when Laketta took sick, she always ensured she was there for others.
Laketta leaves to cherish her memories her only child, John Booth, Jr., her fiance who never gave up on her even when things got rough John Booth was still there, and her seven brothers, Gregory Williams, Travis “Rabbit” Williams, Derrick Williams, Robert Fleming, Jr., Ricky Fleming, Demeco Fleming, Antwon Jones, four sisters, Teresa A. Robinson-Ford (Terry), Sonda Hill-Wilson (Dwayne), Melody Cato (Darran), and Jasmin Nelson; she also leaves to cherish memories her grandmother, Clemie Williams, whom she talked to every day on a regular, her aunt/second mother, Emma Williams, two aunties, Mandy Robinson, Shelia Moore, two uncles, Wayne Williams (Tawanda) and Terry Williams, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

For My Sister With Love
To know I have a sister, To turn to when I’m blue, A sister who is there for me, In everything I do...
Is such a source of comfort, Such a treasure to be sure, It makes the problems that I face, Much easier to endure.
And when I’m feeling joyful, Taking everything in stride, It’s uplifting to share laughter, With my sister by my side.

When We Lost You
We wish we could see you one more time, Come walking through the door...
But we know that is impossible, We will hear your voice no more. We know you can feel our tears And you don’t want us to cry, Yet our hearts are broken because We can’t understand why someone So precious had to die.
