A Life Well Lived

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?

(Ecclesiastes 3:1-9)

~Acknowledgements ~

We give our loved ones back to God. And just as he first gave them to us and did not lose them in the giving, so we have not lost them in returning them to Him… for life is eternal, love is immortal, death is only a horizon, and a horizon is nothing but the limit of our earthly sight.

We, the family of Mr. Jesse King, acknowledge with grateful appreciation the many expressions of kindness, concern, and sympathy evident through cards, flowers, phone calls, and other acts of condolences during our time of bereavement. The fact that you have called and visited consoled our hearts. A very special thank you to Pamela Curry-Mitchell, Carol Y. Davis, Ouida Curry, Linda Mills, Terri SmithAnderson, Shelia Thomas, Sharon Bounds, FedEx Dropbox Team, St. Paul Baptist Church, and Spring Valley Hospice Team.

Change of Address

I’ve changed my address to Heaven

I’ve crossed the Great Divide.

I know there’s no sorrow or crying, Because I’ve reached the other side.

I am so happy to be here, for the Lord Himself I see.

I’ve changed my address to Heaven,

I bid this world goodbye.

I now live forever with Jesus in my new home in the sky.

I have no burdens or heartaches

And from tears I am now free. I’ve changed my address to Heaven, I’m safe forevermore.

For the Lord built a mansion

And my name is on the door.

You can find us walking together,

For where He is, I’ll always be. I’ve changed my address to Heaven, That’s the place you’ll find me.
